Woops, sorry if I got confused about Iman, but the fact that it only happens as a tribal custom is incorrect. It happens to 95% of women in that certain region of Africa. 130 million have been subjected to this, with new 2 million every year.

Yup. She was the youngest model ever to glance on the cover of Vogue, I believe. Which created a huge scandal later, when people found out that she was only 12. And she looked 25 on that cover (I haven't seen that cover myself, but this is what I read...)

I was thinking the same. With the fact she is a well known model who travels all around the world, she must know the basic "hello's-how are you?-thank you! etc,etc. People so exaggerate it's too funny.....

Yeah, I don't think she's "fluent" in all those languages.. Japanese is a far stretch from french, she probably just knows the basics (which is probably needed since she travels around so much).

And, by the way, I thought everyone spoke English in Japan. All the adults, at least. Thought it was like the second language of the country...
