Makes sense, but I'm not behind it. Julia Nobis will also be there, I'm sure, and probably Mica. Because it's his farewell campaign I can stomach the latter two, but at least if they can include Lexi and/or Natalie it would make it more interesting. I don't get this Hanne Gaby resurgence with all these top tier campaigns, not when does such little print work. She's not really relevant, is she?

I disagree. She may not have a lot of print work but she makes up for it with runway bookings. She must be the only model from her generation with such constant presence during FW, she's a favorite of a lot of designers.

Oh I agree with Benn. She's probably still relevant because she has a personality that sticks out of the crowd and people apparently think it's cool she dresses up while being blindfolded (or it looks like it anyway), not because she's good looking or a good model.

If it is indeed for the campaign (which it very well may not be), than i'm upset they chose her instead of the gorgeous, elegant and classy Daria Strokous who fits Dior to a tee.

Actually Daria and Hanne are very good friends and in terms of 'elegant and classy'..we know how hard their group of friends parties. Not the definition of classy but they are the fun girls of the industry.

She's relevant in the sense that most runway models die out after a couple seasons and she has managed to go over 10 years booking blue chip shows every season without campaign or editorial presence to back her bookings. Whatever anyone thinks of her looks, you have to admit it is pretty relevant to have that kind of lasting power over a decade, there are no other models like her. Most who do well on runway and are not booking print work will fademail out in 2 years.

I disagree with most of you. Yes, Hanne has that huge personality and crazy style (sometimes very cool), but she also can give that elegant and classy thing as a Dior woman. To me, she can perfectly fits in the campaign or the brand, same as Daria S.
