My maximum is 700.
Right now I'm at 50 (obviously not that impressive
) I add 5 every few weeks but I'm a lazy bum
You're right though, they're boring....I usually do them while I'm watching TV...Love my Emeril B) (God I'm such an old lady! )

crunches are boring........after about 100 i am too bored to do anymore
running is WAY better plus it tones your stomach

I don't just do crunches. I have a whole routine of variations on the basic crunch to target every part of my abs.

However...running puts pressure on your joints (think about your knees). I love swimming because it works out your entire body at once and gives you something to do (I hate doing boring workouts) as well as cooling you off at the same time.
I do about 50 crunches without stopping then do about 30 pushups (they tone your stomach, back, and arms all at the same time) then alternate between the two until I crash (like someone said, I usually do this while watching TV because it's too boring otherwise).

Hi All,
Thanks for your replies. There are some pretty strong and hopefully flat and toned stomachs out there!

Reverse crunch, cable crunch, cable crossovers and hanging crunch are all good fun...and there's a whole host of fun excersises for oubliques (which actually take up more of the stomach)...
