Katie Holmes Parents won't be at the wedding

Katie Holmes' parents are reportedly refusing to attend her wedding to
fiancé Tom Cruise.

The 'Top Gun' actor plans to marry the 'Batman Begins' actress, the mother
of his daughter Suri, in a Scientology ceremony in late July or early
August.

However, Katie’s devoutly Catholic parents, Martin and Kathleen, will not
attend the nuptials because they do not approve of Tom’s devotion to the
bizarre sci-fi cult.

The ceremony will allegedly be conducted by Scientology leader David
Miscavige.

A family friend revealed to Life & Style magazine that Katie’s
mom and dad “are not happy” with their daughter’s choice of where to marry.

It is also claimed that the former 'Dawson's Creek' star had hoped to have a
separate Catholic wedding to appease her angry parents but Tom is not
willing to compromise.

According to the source, Martin Holmes allegedly said: “If Katie can have a
proper Catholic wedding her whole family will gladly be a part of.”

Since she began dating Tom, Katie has become heavily involved in
Scientology, and is reputedly planning to convert from Catholicism to the
'religion'.

Recently, Tom’s ex-wife Nicole Kidman was told by the Catholic Church that,
in their eyes, she had never been married to the actor as it had not been
sanctioned by the church.

I don't understand this article, simpley because
I don't understand why a man (Tom Cruise) who is so madley in love with
Katie-Kate, whatever her f*cking name is now, can't give one respect to
not only his wife to be, but to Katie's parents. It would be an honorable
thing to do, placing perhaps two weddings. Gwen Stefani and her husband
Gavin had two weddings. One in Orange County for her family, and one in
London for his family.
My family, we are Buddhists, and when my brother was getting
married we had two ceremonies at the same time. We had a Buddist monk,
and a Presbyterian priest do the ceremony. It was great! It was different
but everyone was tolerant of it. That's what I don't understand about
Tom and his church, they just don't seem very tolorant of anything!

That's not even katie its a baglady holding a big mattel toy, superimposed onto a grained up picture of a black luxury car in order to give the impression that it was just 'taken with a bad camera'. If they can't be caught by the best of paparazzi they ain't going to be caught by somebody who has a malfunctioning 5 year old camera phone.

Which brings me to the other point. if they did take the baby out, which obviously they don't, since everybody has camera technology, they'd have to go somewhere that was totally 100% sans people.

I heard on one of the million E! gossip shows that the actress from King of Queens (yet another stupid tv show that no one watches but somehow manages to get renewed each year) her name is Leah something-- anyway, she's in Scientology, and she said that she actually met Suri and all she said was that Suri is ' an average sized baby'.

Either: she's trying to be annoying by just giving us an obscure description or it could be interpreted that there is something wrong with Suri and thus Leah couldn't say the usual "Oh she's gorgeous" stuff people always say about babies.

Katie Holmes was spotted this weekend in Telluride, Colo. taking a Saturday stroll around the wooded Cruise compound -- without Suri of course!

So why wouldn't Katie take her daughter Suri for a nature walk? Why bother taking a baby stroller to Colorado if you're never going to use it?
