^ I always imagined it would be more of an evil cackle....

Also that picture is funny....don't baby's hair usually fall out though...like they are born with alot of hair at first, then lose and start growing it back later? Dang, did I just defend a mattel toy doll?

This is exactly what Tom planned would happen!

Because he couldn't get much money from the mags for Suri's post-birth photos, he's completely keeping her shut away from the world for a few months...allowing rumors to fuel and people to start wondering "Where's Suri? Does she even exist?"

Now, because the public is dying for some pics, the mags are going to pay a huge amount of money for the first Suri pics. Just like Tom planned.

So we'll probably hear about a gigantic payout to Tom in a couple weeks and then Suri will be on all the magazine covers.
That's very unlikely. The man doesn't need more money, unless he is that greedy. He's worth billions and extra 3-5 million dollars for some pictures of his daughter so that a magazine can display it doesn't make sense to me. Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow and Brooke Shields posed with their babies within days, or a week. If anything, just like Mr. Cruise and his stunt in Oprah and Good Morning America with Matt Lauer, it's just one of his stupid stunts to keep up him in the lime light. -_- IMO*

I heard on one of the million E! gossip shows that the actress from King of Queens (yet another stupid tv show that no one watches but somehow manages to get renewed each year) her name is Leah something-- anyway, she's in Scientology, and she said that she actually met Suri and all she said was that Suri is ' an average sized baby'.

Either: she's trying to be annoying by just giving us an obscure description or it could be interpreted that there is something wrong with Suri and thus Leah couldn't say the usual "Oh she's gorgeous" stuff people always say about babies.

I just read this in US weekly and found it hilarious that she would say that... Who says "she's averaged sized" when asked about a new baby:lol:

You're right, he doesn't need the money so that makes sense. But also, it seems that a popular thing among mommy/daddy celebs is to sell the babies pictures for a bunch of money and then give it to some random charity. So maybe, being Tom Cruise, he wants to out-do all the other celebs and get the most money for his baby pics. And then make a big show of giving to some charity. Or maybe I'm just over-analyzing everything and have wayyy too much free time

^ I understand what your saying. That could be his intensions, and only intensions, however IMO* I think he's got something else up his sleeves....:shifty:

Well, we can all rest easy and stop speculation on whether or not there even is a baby, and if there is one, how it was obtained, where it was manufactured, etc. Fellow Scientologist Leah Rimini has seen Suri - all my doubts are put to rest  http://www.cnn.com/2006/SHOWBIZ/TV/07/20/people.remini.ap/index.html

My favorite bit:
Cruise and Holmes are "just great parents," Remini says. "There wasn't a second she was out of their arms except when I held her."

Where else would they have put her? She's allegedly 3 months old. She can't even hold her head up yet. Oh wait, no, she was born with 'instant neck control' according to Tom, my bad.

I for one am deeply relieved to hear that they don't just stick her in the middle of the floor as I do my Simbabies. What concientious parents. Now if they would just refrain from leaving her in a turned off SUV with the windows rolled up while they play ball in the park, no one could compare!

I've never been pregnant so maybe I am completely wrong on this, but I think the whole thing is fake because I saw a photo of Katie, hugely pregnant, in teetery high heels. When one's far along in a pregnancy, wouldn't it be difficult to wear heels that push the weight forward while already carrying extra baby weight in the front?

My brother was born with a lot of hair and it all stayed so no it doesn't fall out.

I am a Leah Remini fan, but she is also a Scientologist, and I would not be shocked at all if she only "claimed" to see the baby as a favor to Tom. Those Scientologists stick together, man!

Leah creeps me out insanely now. My weirdometer just goes off the scale when she's on screen, or even just quoted.

^ I've always been a fan (though I was so disappointed to find out that she is a member of the Cult of Tom). I guess I have that Saved by the Bell loyalty. I mean, she was "Stacey Carosi"!!!! :D

Ok, I was just browsing Defamer and below is a glimpse of how silly this whole "search for Suri" is turning. Paps literally have the house surrounded in hopes of finding life of this baby. All they could come up with was a baby carriage (and a some creepy explanations for a cooler), and they think they broke some ground!

Imagine if Suri didn't exist, if there had been some sort of accident, or something had gone horribly wrong at the birth, that would be tragic...I think people throw it around as an idea but do we really stop and think about how heartbreaking it would be if this was the case?

Another Suri Sighting
NEW YORK - TomKat's daughter, Suri, hasn't been seen in public since her April 18 birth. But a second sighting has been reported, this time by Jada Pinkett Smith.
"She's one of the sweetest babies I've ever met in my life," Pinkett Smith tells People magazine. "She's an absolute beauty and she's Daddy's little girl."
Pinkett Smith and her husband, Will Smith, have visited Suri twice, both times at Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' mansion in Beverly Hills, Calif., People reported on its Web site.
"She's the cutest little baby. She's got a head full of black, beautiful hair," the 34-year-old actress tells the magazine. "She's beautiful and they're very happy and they need to be left alone."
Earlier this month, Leah Remini, another Cruise actress/pal, said she had held Suri during a visit to the couple's home.
"She's a beaming baby. She looks like Tom and Katie, she's just beautiful," the 36-year-old actress, star of the CBS sitcom "The King of Queens," told the magazine. "There wasn't a second she was out of their arms except when I held her."
Arnold Robinson, a spokesman for Cruise, has said that if and when Cruise, 44, and Holmes, 27, decide to introduce their daughter to the world, "it will be at their discretion and not anybody else's."

I have to say it:
I absolutely LOVE Tom Cruise. I've always been a fan and always will be one, despite his lapses into insanity. He's still a fantastic actor and, lapses of judgement aside, a really great guy.

(I might be biased though because I've met him before at a premiere and he was seriously one of the nicest people I've met. Very down-to-earth, likes to laugh a lot, charming, extremely friendly. Also, pictures don't really do him justice; he looks even better in person.)

I read somewhere that Katie has anxiety because of a past stalker.

If this is true, it would make sense that she isn't keen on venturning out into public with her baby.

I can only imagine that any issues you deal with as an individual, only escalate once you are responsible for 2 lives.

:flower: I agree with you Xtine. I have said a few times that I miss the old Tom Cruise and I bet the minute I turn on one of his movies, I fall back into adoration (at least for a few hours anyway, haha).
And he seems like a guy who really appreciate's his fans, so I'm glad you got to meet him (and kinda jealous).

Sidenote: LOVE your av! I always wished that Kiera's character would drop wimpy ol' Orlando and run off with Jack Sparrow, he's so much sexier! :brows:

OK, this is more Tom related, but I didn't feel the need to start a new thread over this:

Tom Cruise and his torturous 'high crotch' move.
Quote:
August 1, 2006 -- TOM Cruise played dirty when he wrestled for Glen Ridge HS in New Jersey. "Even then everybody knew who he was, but it wasn't because anyone thought he'd be a movie star," says a former grappler at rival Seton Hall Prep. Cruise was particularly adept at a hold called the "High Crotch," which involves an arm between the legs. "The pain it caused was excruciating to say the least," the wrestler told Steppin' Out magazine's Chaunce Hayden. A rep for Cruise declined comment.
