Xabi Alonso was drunk as **** when Real Madrid won La Liga. It was just too funny because everyone classes Alonso as the classiest guy ever and then there's video footage of him running around and slipping and just being a drunk.

I just love how the fans of Spanish team call everyone "haters" lol - just because they dislike Spanish team.

Yes , Spain did play indeed boring and way too safe throughout the whole competition - just because they turned it on today does not change it.

But of course fans will say the opposite lol, too funny.

too funny how the non-fans of spanish team saying how lame torres was ( and he scored 1 goal not long after he's on the field?) and how boring spanish team was and they won the whole thing.

A BIG VICTORY. 4-0, they beat the hel out of Italy.

I was watching the recap on TV, they counted 14 passes in the first goal play! say what you will, hala españa!

I've said it before, but, Spain generally just do what they need to do to win. Depending on what your goal is, it's not a bad strategy. I don't find Spain boring because I love football. Not just the scoring part but the whole thing. I love watching the passes and looking for the open space and yelling at the TV when the pass isn't put in the right place or the player doesn't make the right run. Of course, I have the benefit of a bird's eye view... In that way, Spain could never be boring for me.

Italy put in a fine effort today and I think they still had a chance even though they were down by two (the most dangerous lead in football) at 60 min. Their fate was sealed when they went to 10 men but they have no one to blame for that but themselves. I didn't see what led to the first sub because my TV went out, but, the second sub at half, and the third voluntary sub after that was just bad planning. And the injury that put them at 10 men was just the player tweaking himself. Bad luck, really.

Seeing Spain work their magic makes me all the more proud that we (the US) beat them 2-0 in the semi-finals at the last Confederations Cup (a legit game!). That's the thing I love most about football...on any given day anything can happen.

I love Italy NT, but Spain were obviously the better team. Italian players were left running after the ball constantly, their defense was very very poor. They seemed tired, exhausted. After 2-0, they were super stressed and played even more badly.

When Thiago Motta went out, it was pretty much over.

I am sad! Would have hoped Italy to play better. They only had 2 days of rest. It would be more fair if UEFA organized the final 4 days after the last games to give players the time to fully recover so no one can put the blame on fatigue.

It was really sad seeing the Italian players crying. Bonucci was crying like crazy!!! I was also so sad for Pirlo who had a marvelous tournament and proved AC Milan wrong in shipping him away because of his age! It's rough to be finally recognized then to get hit so hard!

Reminds me that they are human beings and not some merchandise!

no its not stupid, i like him a lot too

its so touching to see him, after being the captain for quite a long time, he leads his team to winning 3 major tournaments in a row
