Why? Arrogance?

Like many have said he probably wanted to take the last winning penalty to get the shine. That''s just what I think though so maybe it isn't the case. I've just never been a fan of his.

I think Italy could possibly win tomorrow and the whole championship as they always seem to surprise when their team is embroiled in a scandal.

^i do not think it was arrogance but rather a tactical decision - I saw him approving with his head when his trainer-manager asked him so he just agreed to take on the most responsibility as the captain - as the last one is often the decisive one - at least that's the reason I would assume behind all of that ! I was surprised Ramos was not scared to try again after he sent one penality in outer space when playing against Bayern München in the Champions League!

I predicted a Spain - Germany final - just as Platini wishes ! So it seems that I was right all along - with Spain, Germany, Portugal and Italy going through and then Spain and Germany...the problem with the Germans is that they seem to have too much of respect and are fearful when facing Spain... Portugal did not show any fear and were fighting extremely well

^^we're more scared of Italy than Spain though. Italy is an "Angstgegner" we have never won against them in a tournament...ever (us Germans like statistics:lol:)

^don't be too sad ! Portugal played amazing Filipe - Ramos should be sent off at almost every second game anyway

Hey, you forgot Italy ?? I go to Italy also :innocent:

No I didn't forget Italy but the probablity that Italy wins is really low, no offense tho, I don't support Italy or Germany... But that's the truth,.. Germany is way too formidable

I would say Iniesta, really. Sergio Ramos should have been expelled.

Yeah, Ramos had many dirty fouls.

There's no question that CR is arrogant but I would think the players don't get to decide the order in which they kick.

oh well,I do not believe in statistics too much any more since everybody went crazy over here claiming Spain won't win against France as statistically they haven't won in over 20 years or more against them and we saw how that turned out!

I remember Löw saying that they cannot forget their game and not try to control Spain but to rather try and concentrate on their own game and not like they did in 2010 and here in Spain it had been claimed that Löw is watching every Spain game and is claiming since 2008 to try and find a"solution" how to deal with Spain and finally find a way to beat them...Portugal almost did!

and: do I see a slight advantage when being able to start shooting Penalties in the case that a second doesn't go in from the opponent as you will always be the one that only needs to shoot one more to decide? I am not sure if I am right with my assumption but whatever...bye for now, hope to be back again tomorrow night!

tomorow be a great day, really two big teams and hope can see good play so expectant.

well, they lost in 2008 and were kicked out by Spain and then in 2010 - and I just remember their manager Löw saying that there is no better team than Spain and that he still hasn't figured out a way how to beat them and have them loose all their ball possession

Iniesta is one of the best players in the world, but Ramos has done an amazing match today, he silenced all his critics. He simply deserves all my respect, Sergio made a sublime match.

Cesc has scored the winning goal, but I didn't like his game today, he was a bit kilter. Portugal has pushed our team very well. But they were favored by the referee. I want Italy in the final :p

I'm excited about the game tmr.... It would be a great match I think

And ugh the guys of Spain and Portugal... I thought I'd go to bed straight after 90 mins but the match was prolonged  so now I only got to sleep at nearly 6 am

They already put vids on youtube?
By the way I only watched last 30 minutes of the match and have to say Spain pretty much deserved to win...CR7 disappeared

Then I think this time, the Germans have already figured it out...

They seem to be doing very well lately
