this is just baaad OMG! The styling is hiddeous and Karlie is OK and I'm all for having a top model on the cover but September? I mean?? It's the biggest issue ever and British Vogue didn't have any other major star to cover for them or any supermodel? Don't get me wrong, Karlie is amazing, I love her, she is a great high fashion runway model, great editorial girl, good spirit and ready for anything but I don't feel her appeal as a supermodel nor a September cover girl.

I imagine the logic is the September issue will, more than likely, always be one of the year's biggest sellers - no matter who is on the cover. So why not give it to a model to carry.

This issue will be Vogue UK's biggest, and US Vogue's September issue will be their biggest also.

I wonder who shot the cover? I actually love it, I much prefer this to her Vogue Japan cover. I'm happy for Karlie, it sort of reminds me of Gisele's December UK Vogue cover, similar sort of pose and styling with the pants. Only this is more cropped in, better executed, less tacky and I'm loving the general colour scheme going on. Can't wait to hopefully get my copy soon with this being one of their biggest issues yet!

I certainly don't mind the 1970's feeling from it, but with both UK Vogue and Elle going for white backgrounds with their September issues, I do wonder how exciting these covers are going to be when on sale, especially when imports like US Elle and Bazaar also tend to run with a white background...

Vogue, Elle and Marie Claire are all very safe. Im guessing they are all going for big safe issues to boost sales.
