US Vogue April 2016 : Rihanna by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott

Aside from that gorgeous shot of Rihanna in the gold dress, sitting on the studio floor and the wonderful image of Cameron Russell from the beauty section, this whole issue is a huge disappointment. Not that I expect a great deal of stimulating content from American Vogue at this stage, but with this issue in particular, everything feels overly generic, flat and manufactured. Mert and Marcus' story should've been left on the cutting room floor, SMH.

I love riri and shes perfect for may cover but why no summer colours and spring feelings? colours are dark and winterish

What happened at American Vogue?

First of all, Mikael Jansson's ed looks like it was made for Elle Italy.
Patrick Demarchelier's ed with Gigi and Lily belongs in Allure or Glamour.
I am horrified with Gregory Harris's ed especially Joan's shot.
and for Tomorrowland, Mert & Marcus are having an identity crisis. It would be so much better if it was by Steven Klein. Let's be real here.

Everything looks too commercial for me - even for Vogue's standard.

Rihanna Looks horrible on the cover, ugly dress, than who photoshoped this all?
And the editorials... simply bad.

Yes, that is only one shot i loved in whole issue. The rest is simply boring , or can say again- bad . IMO
