US Vogue December 2014 : Amy Adams by Annie Leibovitz

also if your'e gonna continuously shove that A line LV skirt down our throats how about some creativity in presentation, like really running with it and doin a mix and match editorial selling us on it's versatility, ya know like how normal people wear their clothes?

Yes that's what normal people do. But remember Vogue (and all the mainstream fashion magazines) are merely catalogues whose main goal is to please advertisers. So no mixing and matching for Vogue.

I guess we have an answer of why she hasn't been on the cover yet -- if this thread is any indication, a lot of people don't know her?!!! Well, she isn't super famous, no drama in her personal life -- but she is a brilliant actress.

I wonder how close Kendall Jenner came to getting the cover.... probably if Kim wasn't already on it this year. I'm guessing she will get her own cover next year -- probably during a dead month.

Finally!!! Glad to see Amy!!

Ugh Caroline again? Like seriously, what is the infatuation with her?

Love the whimsy of the pics with Burton, I only wish there were more :)

I love that shot in the blue ODLR dress; wish it had been the cover.

Everything else is a photoshop nightmare.

Not their best December issue. Karlie's edit is pretty cool, but sans that wig! And love Paint It Wild, but the rest of the edits are so so.

Another "Fairytale by Leibovitz", yay...

Inspired by the "Red shoes"? I loooove that film.

The editorial is awful, though. Vogue US is a big joke.

The outdoor shots of Natalia are gorgeous.

The Amy Adams edit is so bad, my god. I looks straight from those awful Disney ads Leibovitz does.

I was really hoping that the cover would hint at an amazing issue, but good gravy this is boring or in some cases straight up janky. Ugh.

This is indeed redundant as many say, but I like it. Way too short, I expected more! There's so many good scenes in that film which could've been recreated. I'm a sucker for fantasy spreads, especially after the dour and melancholic edits we've been seeing this month.

Unless you count Kendall's ed, the editorials in this issue are really strong. The natalia editorial is pretty cool as well.. It's a nice issue. The cover might not be the most exciting but she's wearing haute couture after all

Dying at the last two images of Amy Adams and Tim Burton shoot .. It is like Titanic Photoshop edition

I know Amy's ed is mostly Photoshop but I've missed seeing this type of editorial. How many more boring Testino ed's can we take?

Why the photoshop though? Were they on a budget?? I remember how beautiful the hansel and gretel and Alice in Wonderland stories were precisely because they seemed like they were shot on actual sets. The kind of no-expense-spared story that one associates with US Vogue only.

Oh poor Amy, what on earth did she do to deserve such a god-awful editorial?? It's a shame Annie couldn't do something interesting with her, like she did with Jessica Chastain in last year's December issue. :ermm::rolleyes:
