US Vogue December 2014 : Amy Adams by Annie Leibovitz

Well, Vogue US is a high-fashion tabloid at best so of course Anna will feature a reality show star whose every life bit makes to the cover of juicy rumor magazines .......

The best description I've heard of Vogue US ever.

I'm not sold by her facial expression. It looks awkward for me tho I love the color scheme on the cover. I believe Leibovitz shot this overly photoshopped cover

I was getting the same vibe, the mouth gave me horrible Caroline Trentini´s flashbacks
Cause M&M and Testino go overboard with PS but at least they use it properly.

ugh Kendall looks so unprofessional there.... I get that she has followers and is famous but there are sooooo many other girls that could have made that editorial more interesting...It really must suck to be a model in the industry who genuinely works hard to earn the work they get, when other girls like Kendall get work thrown at them left right and centre after doing only a few shows.....

Not that it'll excite anyone, but I'll have full details of the issue very soon. To the Batmobile!

It could be the quality of the photo, but Amy's face looks so dirty on the cover to me.

Review time! Sorry for the delay, but I was too busy playing Assassin's Creed Unity to care about the issue. :)

Based on how the layout was made, it seems that the Kardashian sister was supposed to be the covergirl but somehow got overshadowed by Amy. I say that because Amy's editorial isn't a "true" editorial in the sense that it's more of an article with only a four new pictures.

So excited to see Natalia and Grace working together again! Looking forward to seeing the whole issue.

Thanks a lot for the review Krogjock! But before you head on back to Arno and climb over the barricades of the French Revolution (or have you reached the Occupation yet?), please tell me whether there's a couture edit in this issue? And who styled it? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the review.
It looks like this issue sucks... Carol, Karlie and Natalia again? Weber's ed sounds interesting but I'm biased to Hunnam so...

@Benn98: Vogue does couture edits? Well, based on a quick thumb thru, I didn't see any in the issue. I'll look again but it looks like a nay.

I do know that there is a new Carine Roitfeld edit in the Dec/Jan issue of US Harpers Bazaar that she does yearly for them. Not sure if that's the same thing....

No prob, just flipped through my Nov issue. Looks like they regarded last month's Natalia edit as the couture feature which is weird because not all the looks are 'couture'. Carine does those edits once month for HB.
Thanks! ;)

Seriously? 13 pages for Kendall? is incredible to see how pulling influences, I like kendall I think it's good for modeling, but I don't even deserve to be in Vogue.
There are other models very good and with years of experience that even don't take into account

Btw, the editorial of Kendall is awful

At this point, without seeing it, I could picturing how the editorial will turn out after reading the review. Same old same old with same models and photographers. Kendull got 13 photos and Amy as the coverstar only got 6? WOW

I highly doubt that Kendall was supposed to be the coverstar but pushed by Amy based on the layout. Us vogue mostly puts their cover editorials somewhere in the middle of the entire editorials. And also, the shoot is not cover material for Vogue and the photographer is an unlikely choice (Demarchelier). Not that excited for the review tho although Natalia and Grace sounds wonderful

I love Karlie's editorial

it's been about time the treehotel got some decent exposure! not so sure about karlie's wig but overall natural high is a cute story and i'm looking forward to reading the article.

As much as i appreciate their effort to show off the dress while still using a relatively recognizable head shot from a distance, there's nothing remotely elegant, flattering or relaxed about Amy's body language or the way she's presenting or carrying herself.

This bleak cover looks like a re-run of last month's bunchy "let's cram as much of the outfit and starlet into the frame as possible" cover maneuver. despite the rampant nostalgia for yesteryear, the timeless visual lessons and stories on composition and how to present and play off the human form in eye-catching, unexpected ways has completely gone out the window.

and then that editorial preview, is that a freeze frame of some upcoming Disney Snow Yeti Princess holiday movie?
