US Vogue February 2009 : Blake Lively by Mario Testino

All the editorials are WONDERFUL, even though as much as I love Meisel's editorial, I feel he repeated himself a little with this Belle Epoque theme (I will always love Grace + Meisel collaborations however, their Poiret editorial with Natalia is definetely one of my favourite fashion editorials ever).

Marie-Amelie saved Sims's editorial, but I love the hair and make-up, Jourdan is really jumping back on my good side (maybe I should take back what I wrote about her in the Models Whose Appeal You Don't Get thread) and Coco's has great movement, Meier is consistently strong (although never amazing) although I don't like the Michael Kors sunglasses :ninja:. Can't wait to get this, although it'll be like a month (I can wait though :woot:)

I just worry that the big March issue might be a letdown after this, well if they at least have Meisel shoot another edit and Klein then it could be up to par.......

Luxx you are my hero thanks so much :flower:

I love these editorials so far, thanks so much for posting Luxx, I especially like the "one piece wonder" and "la dolce vida"
I am excited to get this issue in print because I haven't received it yet!

Coco looks gorgeous in Take it Easy. The red is working wonderfully on her!

^ I'd like to know that too ^_^
January was disgraceful.

The Gossip Girl/Blake Lively article was embarassing. It was written like it was deeply analyzing German philosphy or classic literature

The Vicki Woods article on lipstick used "ROFL" as well...

i was disgusted when i saw the cover in the shop. i mean blake lively? yuk

Well, in good old Germany there is no such thing as a Blake Lively and so I'll take this as a pretty cover of a pretty girl. Does she have different eye colours? Looks like that somehow.
As for intelligence. Vogue US has never been the most intellectual Vogue. Deutsch and Italia operate on a entirely different level. So, I buy it for the good fashion pages and eds, not for the stimulating read.

Are you sure? I know tons of people who watch GG here in Munich...
anyway, I kinda wished I didn't know her so I could appreciate the cover, which is very nice by the way, great styling and pose! It could have been WAY worse

:buzz: This is one issue I am looking forward to picking up. Coco's editorial is stunning, her new hair colour really suits her. Blake looks stunning on the cover, they styling is perfect in her pictures too. The cover is overloaded with text, and the banner's are always horrible. But it's not a huge issue this time... the content is amazing. So pleased to see Natasha!

The contents page actually shows a version of the cover without the text. Personally, I think this is one of the best covers Vogue has put out in a long time.

not too care who is the cover, but the eds are too boring...

I really like this cover. Not what I was expecting. And this is the best I've seen Blake look ever. Kudos miss wintour!

It is.......I have to agree with youB) although the competition hasn't been particularly fierce over the last couple of years even.:innocent:
