US Vogue February 2009 : Blake Lively by Mario Testino

^That's the shoe I think. I don't know how to explain this in English and neither in German but the end of the heel is connected with something silver with the place where the toes are. If that makes any sense.

Liya looks so dead and unemotional, i can hardly remember what she shows any emotion anywhere except slight smile

I don't think this content is mediocre at all. I think it's really great stuff - the Meisel story is as good as the one he did for Vogue Italia this month. I think it's nice Vogue US is finally putting out some stuff that is worthy of discussion that isn't just "this suxxx"

i meant the cover is mediocre, not the content  i agree about the content, FINALLY something refreshing and not caroline t jumping over and over again.

I like David Sims ed, the martial arts theme is great.

That studio editorial is ridiculous - I will never understand the concept of those poses ...
I'd rather they were just posing naturally, not acting like they're on the first episode of ANTM

Finally an editorial that truly displays that luscious red hair!! I always can do for more Coco, she never ceases to interest me.

Thank you for all your scans Luxx.

I bought the issue today. I must say I'm really pleased with Vogue this month. The editorials are not boring at all, and the model selection was a perfect mix of girls.
I actually enjoyed Blake's interview. It was nice for once to read an interview that's actually about an actress' work and not her personal life. I do wish that the writer had delved deeper in Blake's personality and her personal style. I'm getting tired of Blake automatically saying that she just copies Serena. Beside that she does not seem to have a strong stance on what she wears.
The editorial It's A Madcap World is beautiful. It was nice to see these new girls give emotions that I feel they desperately lack in Vogue Italia. But as always the styling in Vogue is a bit stale. The stylists need to start mixing designers, and having fun with the clothes.
One Piece Wonder is good as well. However, I wish that Chanel and Raquel had the edit to themselves.
Agyness' editorial was beautiful. It's always nice to see Agyness actually modeling and not goofing around. I had no idea she was engaged. I wished that she had worn her engagement ring in the editroial. Also I wish there had a been small article to accompany her photos. It would have been a sweet Valentines day article to read about how Agyness and her fiance met. I wonder if he calls her Agyness or Laura?... :ermm:

Thanks for all your scan Luxx! They are really appreciated! :flower:

As I said before, "It's a madcap world" is one of the best editorials US Vogue has ever produced, just amazing. Even though "One piece wonders" is a studio shoot, it looks much better than the usual jumping, the poses are great, I wish Sims would shoot more eds outside studios though. "Take it easy" is typical Meier, it's good not great, but Coco looks beautiful.

Coco's really working that hair! I love the movement.

I don't think there's a metal connecting one part of the shoe to the other. I do think that's a shadow they put there which I don't understand why:huh:

Thanks for posting the scans everyone!:flower:

^It is.

Thankyou Luxx for scanning the editorials! Coco's edit is really cool and shes making great shapes! ^_^

I like Coco's ed, except the third pic - her pose is odd. I like editorials shot by R. Meier because he gives a great emphasis in accessories. And Coco + Meier is a formula that works. I remember that she was shot by him for August 2007 issue, the ed was called Swingers and it was really interesting.

this issue is superb! i think this is one of the best issues they've released for a while...thanks for all the scans!

Thanks, Luxx, for taking all the trouble to scan the editorials. I particularly like Coco and Agyness's eds, and, of course, It's a Madcap World, which is a true wonder.
