OMG no! I know shes promoting Gatsby, but I was hoping to see her in something from the prada gatsby collection or a something a little more classic. They could have still done gatsby, toooo gatsby :p The look is more overthetop than her look in the movie!

Soo many talented and well payed people and this is what they come up with...what a letdown.
I was expecting something glorious, bejeweled or gold & graphic scheme and some movement, this is just.... :ninja:

What a strange cover, with huge light issues, that light hits Carey in a way that's soo bad & strange...ok everything in this cover doesn't work for me, sorry VOGUE.

It's a nice cover, but it could be a lot better. I like the styling but her pose and her awkward facial expression completely ruin the cover
I don't even know why I still had small hopes of seeing Gemma... :(

My problem here is the styling. Not only I hate when Vogue uses the actress' movie as the concept for the editorial, here they were even more lazy. The styling looks like from someone who is going to a 1920's inspired party. Too predictable and uninspired.

I'll wait for a better quality image but already there are things I don't like.

Her left hand is a problem in itself, the color of the gown makes it look as though she's developed jaundice, and her face resembles that of a wax figure. Also, what's going on under her armpit? It looks as though they filled that area with black.

looks lovely so far, something with a little more drama than your average celeb being pretty again thing

unusual color for a dress to be in a cover

She looks like she's trying not to burst out laughing.

Yeah, it just reads like she wants to say to everyone looking, "the jokes on you." She looks like such a caricature. But I do like the styling, especially all that bling. It doesn't feel very spring for me. The earthtone of the masthead, in comparison to the color of the dress totally throw it off. It's so bright.

I feel like the color of the dress is too harsh. However, I'm excited about the main editorial.

this is one scary cover.. awful makeup and carey mulligan?! wtf. i know she's there to promote her movie but this is completely boring. lol cant us vogue for once just put someone who havent appeared on their cover? (i am not saying that they should put models on the cover--i am over that idea long time ago. but cant they put someone "FRESH" on the magazine?) i am so tired to seeing the same kind of celebs all the time.

thank you US Vogue, i can save my money for buying this magazine again.

 I'm going to try and keep an open mind until we see a better version of the cover, but it's not looking good.

I usually like us vogue covers bc they're always very classic and the stylings always great, but this truly is the worst cover I have seen from any magazine in quite some time.

you have to remember that the early images we get are usually really off in terms of saturation and colour. this will, im hoping, look less harsh in real life. the last vogue carey was on was one of the best of the year so hopefully the trend will carry on ... johnathan van meter as a punk sounds interesting to say the least

OMG, that lime-green is killing me!!! And what's with all the text?? Not the best cover for May.
