I don't care about much in this issue, but that Yohji coat from the exhibition is heaven.

Can’t believe I ever complained about Carolina Trentini being in every issue. She’s basically lisa fonssagrives compared to today’s models. You can tell she posed for Penn in her pics.

So they have discount Tim Walker and discount Meisel in this issue. The Meisel-lookalike editorial is well shot though, can't complain.

Okay so Gal is gorgeous, no doubts on that, the cover is good but the editorial does not convince me especially the last shot.
That time will tell ed is awful, I've never seen something this ugly and trying to look edgy in Vogue US
The edit by Demarchelier's look alike is actually very good. Caroline and Imaan are a fantastic pair of models.
The preview of the exhibition makes me super nostalgic, I guess this would have been a great theme for the MET.

Always with the "waste of space" editorials where they pretend something profound is happening in a white room.

Compared to the sunny vibe of last month’s issue, The vibe of this issue is quite eerie. You have an ed shot in an almost empty MET with mannequins instead of models, then Gal Gadot alone in the desert, and the cold Nigel Shafran ed.

The poses in up close and personal are very 80's Vogue. I like that.

The Yohji coat is very pretty indeed, hoping there's more of his work in the exhibition, he's a master of historicist fashion.

Nigel never fails to disgust me. Month after month, staining perfect portfolios of my favorite girls... such a shame. They should ban him from using a camera.
The Demarchelier editorial is pure perfection! I missed his jumpy grey backdrop studio shoots in every issue and I'm so happy to see it again. Caroline and Imaan as well
But it's kind of embarrassing for EJG. It's straight up copying (which I don't mind at all in this case, because it's the best editorial I've seen from Vogue US in a while).
MET editorial is better than I'd expected. Very catalogue, but it works. Stunning selection of clothes and I'm really sad we won't get to see the gala this year. It's such a shame.

As for Nicolas... just promote him to regular Vogue model already. He appears in a different Vogue every other month and I'm totally sick of looking at him.

Only here for Ethan James Green's story and ETG's story alone. He has become the absolute saving grace of American Vogue over recent months, producing truly beautiful stories and cover shoots which evoke the old-school US Vogue charm perfectly - I am ALL for it.

How wonderful to see Caroline Trentini back in the studio before a grey backdrop, giving total flashbacks to the good old days of those countless Meisel and Demarchelier stories. Had I not always purchased US Vogue on a monthly basis, I'd be picking this issue up, based solely on the cover and that first shot of Trentini alone.

can anyone tell me if this issue arrived in the UK? I can't find it in any newsstand, as well as Harper bazaar US edition

US Vogue's May issue is now on sale on newsstand.co.uk as well as US Harper's Bazaar May issue (the tangerine terror), but I didn't see Gigi's issue ever on sale.
