I didn't expect to like this when I clicked the thread as I'm not much into her but the cover is iconic imo. I looked back several times at the cover as I'm typing, the image really stucked in my head.

The Angelina article made me miss the days when she wasn't such a pretentious movie star. Her ego is now very visible. It's sad to me that she traded her acting career to be this celebrity. I had to laugh at various points in the piece, especially when it said how she wrote her screenplay in a disastrously formatted way, and yet everyone saw potential in it. Please...of course they did. And how she is uninterested in reviewers opinions on her film. Yeah, that sounds about right.

I do think JUST acting got too small for her. After all she started young
and has been in the business all her life. I expect this film
will be the first of many directed by her.
She will probably still act occasionally (much like her mentor Clint Eastwood),
but she seems to want to explore behind the camera now.
Also when you have kids your focus shifts. Now I'm not
saying everyone goes through this (I did) but you do become selective about
what's important and what you're willing to spend your time doing.

Faces only last for so long, and if you're not an all-round character actress, you might as well try your luck behind the camera to see if your longevity in Hollywood lies there.

I don't know, she was kind of pretentious back then too, but in a different way. She's never been the most "down-to-earth" celebrity.
