Versace for H&M

None of the longer gowns, the socks, the men's backpack have made it into either collection. I saw the Spring range today and it's all printed with fruits. There's a bikini, some printed dresses, a nightgown thing, some jersey dresses, chiffon printed pieces and a large hold all. For the guy's there's a denim shirt and shorts, a few more t-shirts, another tailored jacket, a hold all, a wrist cuff, a belt, some trousers with gold buttons and then some other shirts.

what kind of fruit?

would you say it was reminiscent of stella mccartney S/S 2011 collection with the citrus fruits?

or chloe S/S 2001 with the singular banana or pineapple or strawberry emblazoned on?

or maybe more like a recent Dolce and gabbana collection with the veggies on it?

Various types of fruit - berries mostly, and some butterflies. It's not really anything like Stella/Chloe or Dolce. It's a smaller scale print.

So it is from this range, yet it's not in any of the product images, viewable in the 'full collection' part of the website, and wasn't at the press day either...

this is driving me mad, you know? chances are, we enter the freakin store and are faced with pieces we've never seen before and couldn't even contemplate beforehand. why would you do such a thing?

yet, it was clearly available for sale at that event, with tags and garment bags and everything.

there must been some serious miscommunication going on...

Apparently Kanye was wearing the men's jacket with the printed sleeves during his performance at the VSFS. I want it so bad, it really looks amazing!

I was thinking about getting there @ 6AM for an 8AM opening... do I really need to be there the night before ? This line doesn't even seem like it would appeal to that many people if you kwif.

Due to sheer laziness, does anyone know whether the full collection be in all NYC stores or only a select few? TIA!

The jacket Kanye wore, the women's version, are some of the worst quality pieces from the collection. For me this is the cheapest a collection has been. Lanvin's fabrics were beautiful, but seeing the Versace pieces up close and feeling them... they're really not. That jacket feels seriously cheap. The jersey pieces are awful too. It's quite disappointing in that respect.

I'm not going to lie, I wasn't a fan of much of it.

The baroque style printed skirt felt okay and the leather pieces weren't as rubbery as I expected, but they're still not exactly highest quality leather. I imagine the cost of the studding severely impacted on the quality they were able to afford for the pieces.

The two black dresses are pretty chic in all fairness, they don't feel too bad and they were nicely cut.

Menswear wise I wasn't impressed with the jacket much, or the leather sleeved coat, but the tuxedo felt quite nice and sharp. The greek key shorts and t-shirt aren't the best, the studding on them just looks so cheap sadly. I preferred the menswear from the next collection I think over all?

Ouhh I've been looking at the accessories, there's some really awesome HUGE necklaces... The boots are cute too, but I feel like they're not very original.

Thank you for the warning, I had my eye on that print. I am in two minds as to whether I should queue up, but H&M's ecommerce site has to be the worst known to man!

i really do not like the menswear. but then again, versace was never an influence on my own personal dressing aesthetic, so i'm going to sleep in.

the womenswear, however, looks pretty good. i really like the floral pieces especially. i can see the womenswear stuff selling out fast.

I was planning to get the black dresses so i'm glad it passes. What about the Japanese printed items? i wanted to get the dress that Abby was wearing, along with the studded Greek motif skirt.
