I'm also curious about this whole 'personality' thing, they casted Jeisa (lovely as she is) for 2006 and she literally had no expression.

Yeah I think they're full of cr*p There are girls in the casting video that have way better bodies than Sara Stephens or Abbey Lee... And Much prettier faces than Clara Alonso... Some of the choices are so random...

Maryna dazzles in the casting vid BTW, I'm not surprised she got chosen!

I read somewhere or saw on a video that VS was toning down their super sexy image this year just a bit because 'normal' women can't always relate with the extra-super sexy supermodels of VS, thus they can't relate to the brand. I guess it's because all of us arent' built like these models (I workin' on it though ;-)). So although many of the gorgeous women in the video are beautiful and built well, they may have pulled back a bit so that the brand can relate to most women. Although all the girls this year were totally amazing, each in their own way.

^ possible. I mean the new models weren't super sexy and the show was really glamorous not extremely sexy like before but the theme was glamorous so they did a great job!

I think fundamentally they really don't have any rhyme or reason for why they do things.

The contract girls are supposed to have wings...so why then did Doutzen and Behati not get any this year?

Long legs? Heidi? Alessandra? Stam? Don't think so.

They want girls with experience? Marisa barely walks any runway shows, Heidi was the queen of catalogs, she didn't get any work as a runway model.

Behati is representing PINK. She's not a Angel. Doutzen is, now that you mention it. I haven't seen her with wings
About the other 2 things, you're right.

I think what I read earlier can be a good reason, they just didn't want that super sexy image instead they wanted girls where women can relate too.

Or they just want to change the whole thing. I mean Izabel no longer a Angel and KK's contract hanging on a string... hmm I don't know.

i think behati is now an angel!! on her profile from VSFS site it says on the video something like join behati in her ANGEL thigs i dont remembr well ahahha but somethng related to that so they are promoting her as angel now

I can only say for Marisa since Im her biggest fan She did have her fair share of runway. Not as many as all the HF runway queens but she did.

And no, aaron, I dont think she ever walked for Versace lol.

Oh no not the 'angel' word again lol...I highly doubt they promote Behati as angel now, more as a PINK face for sure and not an angel.
