i was thinking about that now... this is a military-inspired issue and the models are kinda portraying combatants, and one of RL's inspirations for the S/S 2010 collection was the american pionniers, which is originally a military term frequently related to the american conquête de l'ouest - therefore the mexican-american war and the annexation of Texas, a combatant state (a republic during that time)... the play of words using Win Wenders's movie title (which is named after the Texas city) is based on RL's conquête de la mode, as the text says - the brand as a combatant conquering Paris, now the french city, the fashion capital.Paris is also a city in Texas so maybe it has something to do with that.
