Carine Roitfeld was on french tv last sunday and we saw the november cover: it's Paris Hilton. People talked about it there and there .

What a horrible disappointment from expecting a fabulous issue with Vanessa Paradis to finding out that Paris will be the cover subject instead. Off the bat I want to say that there is no way I would waste my money on this issue. But I am more moved by content than the cover..... But it will be a tough sale considering it's Paris Hilton

I made a rule of not buying issues with a celeb on the cover. Just to boycott. I was considering buying this one though.

Maybe I take things too seriously, but I find nothing funny about Paris Hilton. I don't know if she has any confidence (as this is the most popular reason for anyone like Roitfeld saying anything positive about her), if confidence is what she's doing, then I'm happily unconfident.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but at the moment, US Vogue has the most class: they have Cate Blanchett on the cover.

IIRC the lettering is indeed pink.Paris wears minimal make up.They want to show a classier, more intelligent side of her apparently.

Carine met Kylie Minogue in Milan and asked to work with her in the future so maybe she soon will get a cover too.

She can't be serious!!!!!! That statement alone makes me want to never buy a Paris Vogue again until she is out as editor!!! There is nothing about Paris that is intelligent, talented, dignified or even just plain likeable. I could go on about how much I hate her and Carine's statement but it would not be appropriate. I'm just really disappointed.

Uh yeah , no one ever thought that Vanessa could be on the cover of the December/January issue ? Besides , I've seen that cover of the Paris Hilton issue it doesn't have any title outlining that it is the 50th birthday issue. The December/January issue of Vogue-Paris is one of the most important issues of the year (since it generally revolves around the world/fashion style of a celebrity like Catherine Deneuve , Kate Moss, or Sofia Coppola) plus it will probably be the one celebrating the 50th birthday, I bet Vanessa will be on cover of that very special issue.
