Strangely enough i know about Lear mostly because of the time i used to go through my Dali obsession, but didn't she model in the 70s? In VP no less?

i agree that natasha doesn't look like bardot but i think it's nice that they didn't use lara. it would be too obvious. sasha as liza minelli and raquel as blondie aren't obvious choices either, which is great too, and judging by the previews they both did a very good job.

I don't know if she modeled, but surely, with her body and face she must have. Haven't seen her in VP, but chances are she appeared there...

Why would they do that? It's been done a million times.

Plus W already covered the Lara/Bardot this month.:innocent:

Well, I don't care about Lara's work so I didn't know... :innocent:

Where is there an Amanda Lear influence, and why is this only for French tFSers?

That wasn't only for the french tFSers but she's pretty well known here and I wasn't sure many people outside of France would know who I was talking about...

Oh, I love the cover! Lara looks fantastic...the make over was much needed and it suits her so well!

Ok, maybe this will sound really wierd and stupid but dark-haired covergirl Lara reminds me of Adriana Lima :ninja: :ninja: :ninja:

I thought that too. But I thought I was just seeing it because Im a Lima fangirl. ( I know, Im one of those)

Honestly my first thought was "why didnt they just use Adriana", but seeing Lara like this is so brilliant and interesting.

I mean, i like the cover. But That doesn't look like Lara AT ALL!

^ yeah! Carine destroyed the sexy Lara :(
I think that's positive for Lara. She's not just a blond girl who stayed in the role of BB for years...
I really like the idea that Carine changed Lara's image to a sensitive, almost shy girl. It was already time for changing... B)

I think the change was to the worse. she looks ordinary now. ( and something else that's forbidden to mention here. ) though it's a beautiful cover.

The cover is showcasing that Lara can play more roles than the sexy Bardotesque sex kitten or party girl with an edge. She can also be quite elegant. So I think this is a success for her and broadens her appeal...

^ Yes I do think so too, I think it's a success for Vogue Paris as well for doing something different with its September issue.
