What effects do models have on you?

i like models- but i really wouldn't say they've deeply affected me or anything.

it's not really about them, it's their look.
i'd like another model a similar look.

i see them as more of a visage or an image- not a role model or even a person really.

I wouldn't say a negative effect, but I've definitely noticed how fat my legs are. And not just in comparison to models, but regular people.:ninja::lol:

Other than that, I've noticed that with the "model streetstyle" thread that models seem to have exceptional style. True, they can pull of anything, but I always take notes for my next shopping trip after I look through thread.

they make me feel kind of bad, for example pretty(i wish I could be like that) body ( i wish I had their body) etc.

They make me realize that I'm extremely short, more so than I originally believed

so many thing like i want to be taller/********

*edit-see tFS guidelines

If anything, they've definitely made me feel more open about beauty and its variety.. as a "Disney" kid, I grew up under the full lips/big eyes/long hair standard of beauty, anything far from that perspective was not considered particularly pretty to me and by following fashion and seeing girls like Colette, Ann-Catherine, Anouck, Agnes Buzala.. girls that are not conventional in all sense of the word, I've definitely learned to accept others and myself...shallow speaking of course.. but I'm no longer quite as critical as I used to be in my early 10s..

Totally agree with that. That's why I like Kate Moss so much. She was the fist model who had any sort of impact on me because she wasn't 'perfect' (i.e. tall and tanned).

Nowadays I don't really notice the model so much...unless they're someone who is exceptional (in my opinion) like Anouck or Irina.

Moles have no influence on me, except they make me feel it is normal to wear 3 or 4 inches of heels when I am already 5'8
They make me feel more beautiful because of the variety of beauty that is been appreciated out there by the sophisticated, open-minded, and artistic people. They make me believe beauty should never be corny mundane stereotype. (see my signature)
To be very honest, I find moles all the same, as if they are cloned maniquins... I really can not recognize more than ten.... and to say something racist, although I said the diversity is good with models, but they are still mostly caucasians, diversity means more than features, also different cultural backgrounds, that is also why I think models are somewhat cloned.
Yes, and I am same with some of you here, I never notice the models as much as clothes, makeup, settings. In a more exposed parlance models are animated canvas.

...nothing

...well, ok I lied. They make me wish I was a bit taller like them....:p ;)

I don't think they have any effect on me ... should they have? I don't read fashion magazines, so I am not seeing pictures of them. Of course I see them on the runway shows, but I don't think I ever notice them, I look for the clothing ... I can remember tons of beautiful clothing from the runway, but not one model presenting them.

Models inspire me, they are so beautiful, almost unhuman. They make me want to make the most of myself and put an effort into the way I look.

They make me feel very short and that I can't look good in some clothes.

(One of the reasons why I buy petite whenever I can)

i can't help but compare and it makes me feel worse
i stayed up last night looking at jessica alba pics on hollywood tuna.. not a good idea

Discovering models was a real turning point for me in terms of how I viewed myself, I only really noticed fashion because of Gemma Ward..she looked like me..and I was fascinated that she was considered beautiful, I'd grown up with the tanned, confident "sexy" looking girls being the pretty ones.

but now I just find something about a model that reminds me of myself or something I just love in people, I love how photos are made to create a mood. I like attractive and interesting things:lol:

I just love them^_^ and I'm still not 100% sure why:lol:

i love seeing beautiful people and many of the models are prettier and more beautiful than everyone i see in the world..i like their hair,faces,bodies...also the life that they live fascinates me,too..traveling,photoshooting,doing catwalk..these are the things that i like most about them..but they never effect me on my personality..they just make me more interested in my look..i begin to care my hair, face and body more after i met them:lol: so that's a good effect:p

I am not affected by models. I think they are beautiful and fortunate to be good-looking, but I am also aware of the fact that they are not perfect and most likely have their own insecurities as well. Once upon a time, I used to compare myself with them and want to emulate them, but I have since grown a bit older, a bit wiser, and have learned to appreciate all 5'3 1/2 inches of myself!

They do bum me out when I am trying on a bra in Victoria's Secret though. Nuthin' like Tyra Banks staring ya down to remind you that you are as flat as a board when she is filling out the same exact bra perfectly!

I admire the fact that they can overcome their insecurities and stand tall and be photographed from every angle (including the bad ones too). I admire Kate Moss because she seems absolutely fearless in front of the camera.
