What to wear for FNO - fashion night out

So today is FNO in new york....with all the parties and shopping...what to wear to look stylish yet be comfortable and shop?!

depends where you're going i would think...
uptown is different from downtown...

if you're hanging out on bond street i imagine you would go all hipster...
but if you're on madison ave...
i imagine a cool dress with some booties would work well...
