Balenciaga S/S 2010 : Iselin, Lisanne, Mirte and Patricia by Steven Meisel

Good for the new girls, but wow. THIS is what one the most respected fashion houses comes up with for its ads? This looks like a bad version of something H&M would do.

This looks interesting! Different from what we're used to see in campaigns. Cheerful. ^_^
Great cast also. Can't wait to see more!

I'm thrilled to see Iselin and I like how graphic it looks but that's about it...

Did they really have to cast a bunch of nobody's to complement Iselin? :ninja:

Nobody's? Newbies would be a better word.
The Dutchies does have a amazing showlist and are gorgeous. Patricia does look a bit strainge in that position but she is a stunner. Mirte does look amazing. Lover her. Iseline to but it's not like she is taking over the add.

  I quite like Patricia, Lisanne & Mirte but let's see who of them will be in demand after all the hype is over and the next bunch of job-hungry newbies arrives infront of Meisel's lense. I don't wish any of them bad, though Patricia is gorgeous, one of the best newbies I've seen in a long time. But we know Meisel and his "reliability" to book some models just during their first season(s) (Madisyn Ritland, Katrin Thormann, Toni Garrn, Anabela Belikova, Katlin Aas....).

Haha you're so right about that :p

Yeah "nobody" is a bit harsh, I agree that this season's "Anna J" may very likely turn out to be next Season's "Georgia Frost" but you have to remember even Daria and Co. had to start off somewhere right?

I absolutely love this:woot:, but im obsessed with this collection especially these dresses so im happy the campaign showcases them so vividly:heart:, need to see more!!!!

I was so excited when I saw the thread title and I honestly couldn't believe what I saw when I opened it. A brilliant cast, a fantastic collection and then they come with this? Probably the worst at this season so far.

This is too unusual. I'm not sure whether I like it or not but this is definitely something different- too different for my liking.

I'm curious how will this be looking in print. I guess huge Mirte will take two pages

I hope there's a huge Iselin ad that'll take four pages.^_^;) (I know it's impossible)

I like the simplicity, but it ends there. The casting might be great for some people and fans, but seriously the models look dull and lifeless; especially for such magnificent clothing that had a lot of life. And I'm actually a fan of Iselin.

Even Jennifer Connelly did a better job at modeling Balenciaga, and she wasn't even a model.

I typically like Patrica, but this is rather disappointing. Hopefully she will do other print work.

I like the campaign. I was originally thrown off by the positioning in the shot but I do love it. The collection looks great and I love the casting.

Didn't like the collection but I LOVE the campaign. Something about it feels so fresh and full of energy.

completely agree...i don't see anything spectacular about the casting at all..and i'm hoping the ad will grow on me but everytime i go back to look at it, i feel the same :yuk:

i don't love it, but i do think it's pretty nifty looking. It looks very 90s..the geometric of the clothes look good. For some reason from the undertone of the formality (humor, how the girls are standing and layered) i'm being reminded of a popular nintendo game.
