Well, the glamour-focused media would give the impression that the royals don't do squat except take expensive vacations, but that's the media for you.
Their vacations are just that... vacations. There are many more work days in the year that go unnoticed, because they don't make interesting pictures or reading material for the grocery store checkout lines.
