Catherine, Princess of Wales (Kate Middleton)

I don't think she's altering her image in the most recent photo of her dressed down at the polo match. This is much more her natural style in my opinion, and I agree with whoever said she looks better dressed down but maybe that's just because she's not in some hideous dress. The baseball cap looks cute on her though

I like her dressed down too. She looks cute in jeans and caps. I don't think I like her belt buckle, though. At the polo match.

As someone who would never wear a baseball cap, I just can't get my head around dressing like this...I mean there are plenty of casual clothes to wear, instead of looking like you've raided your boyfriend's wardrobe.

And as far as trying too hard...I'm really not sure...Kate seems like she's constantly trying to do the right thing/wear the right thing. This last outfit seems to be a complete contrast to all her other polo outfits, (summer dresses/ jeans and boots), that it looks like she's trying to put a new image across. It makes me wonder why she has suddenly dressed down so much...is she trying to cultivate a down-to-earth image?

I think there are times when she does try, maybe too hard, to be what she thinks people expect from her, but in these last images from William's birthday polo, I think this is one time when she is just being herself. We are (maybe) used to her not being herself, so much that when she is truly being herself, we are like WTF!?

I actually really like what Kate is wearing here, it is sophisticated but relaxed at the same time. But seeing Kate and Chelsy together I prefer Chelsy's outfit.

Kate looks really good with those sunglasses. They really suit her face shape. I believe they are Calvin Klein. My mum has the same glasses.;)

She looks okay, I guess... if you can overlook that belt buckle, which I can't.

I like the white v-neck sweater a lot. It's cool that she has other sunglasses besides those old Chanel ones. The Chanel sunglasses have become like the Ford Explorer once was: over-hyped, exploited, over-trendy, out-worn, exhausted.

^ I know isn't this the first time we've ever seen her wear sneakers? And they actually look good on her, thank god she has something casual that looks better than those awful boots!

I hope this isn't a repost. Style.com has a feature on Kate Middleton's style on the front page :flower:.

A monthly look at the faces that have made history. (Me: Isn't this a bit premature?:lol:)

Will Prince William make an honest woman out of his longtime squeeze, Kate Middleton, before the decade is through? Despite a brief split last summer (William reportedly needed "space"), all signs now point to yes. If we were the sort of Web site that took bets, in fact, we'd place the odds at ten to one. However, we're hardly the only ones to hear the distant chime of Westminster wedding bells: The production line at Woolworths is ready to roll with commemorative plates (emblazoned with the words "Celebrating the royal marriage of William & Kate") within 48 hours of an announcement. Kate's presence at her boyfriend's induction into the Most Noble Order of the Garter earlier this month—and the queen's invitation of Mrs. Middleton, Kate's mother, to the royal enclosure at Ascot—have ramped up the matrimonial talk to a fever pitch. Meanwhile, rumors circulate that the pretty commoner has moved into the prince's apartments at Clarence House.

Despite her comparatively humble beginnings, Kate, or Catherine, as she's reportedly calling herself these days, is by all accounts perfect HRH material. The daughter of former airline employees who amassed a sizable fortune with a mail-order business, she is poised, well-educated, disarmingly lovely in a fresh-scrubbed way, and blessedly scandal-free. In fact, the worst the paps could dig up on the lass is that she was fond of mooning her classmates at boarding school. If her slightly Sloane Ranger fashion sense—lots of tweeds, Philip Treacy hats, and tailored suits—is a wee bit drab, she is probably wise to err on the side of caution. And no doubt she'll feel more inspired on the glamour front once she has a tiara to work with.

The supposed "friends" who make claims about what she likes to be called, or what she has "always been called" are always contradicting themselves. It's very amusing. I just sit back and enjoy reading these articles saying their contradictory stuff. Kate or Catherine, no matter to me. It doesn't change the person so wtf? I only wonder if the "friends" know how stupidly they come across in these articles. :p

^It's all a bunch of rubbish. Any idiot carefully reading the quotes from her "friends" can understand that. Those "friends" of hers are the biggest idiots I've ever heard of. I'd hate to have such stupid friends.
