Kate Middleton Spends 4 Hours at Fave Salon

After being absent from the spotlight for a few weeks, Duchess Kate stepped out at her friends' Wiltshire wedding on Saturday where she and younger sis Pippa Middleton nearly stole the show with their glammed-up ensembles.

Like clockwork, Kate's hair looked especially glossy and fresh underneath her red fascinator, which matched her scarlet lace Collette Dinnigan knee-length dress. And it's no wonder her brunette strands looked so gorgeous -- she had just spent four hours at the salon Friday!

The 29-year-old royal stopped by her go-to hair haven, Richard Ward Hair and Metrospa, in London's stylish Chelsea neighborhood where she sat all afternoon for a series of services including getting her hair colored with an organic vegetable-based hair dye.

An insider tells Us Weekly that "Kate goes in for a long appointment about every eight weeks. The shorter appointments for trims and treatments aren't always done in the salon, but she doesn't want to stop visiting the salon for her longer appointments. She loves her time there and she has known everyone there for years so it's really relaxing for her."

Kate, Pippa and their mother Carol Middleton have been trusting the salon's tress masters Richard Ward and James Pryce for over eight years. (Pryce created Kate's hairstyles for her April 29th wedding day and accompanied her on her North American tour in July.)

Earlier this summer, Ward told Us the trick to creating the princess-in-training's picture-perfect blowout.

"To create the natural Chelsea blow-dry, apply a holding serum onto wet hair to take out the frizz and make the hair silky smooth. Start with hair that's 80 percent wet and use a good blow dryer with a concentrator nozzle and a real-bristle brush. The serum memorizes the form and holds the curl in place while you blow dry."

"Anyone with long hair should have it trimmed regularly," he added. "Also get a deep conditioning treatment every six weeks or so to keep it healthy. I like our Richard Ward Couture Hair Silk Protein Masque."

I like that casual outfit-simple and pulled together (and I don't mind the boots). And of course, her hair looks amazing!

She could've just bought the Marc Jacobs one that Topshop blatantly ripped off!

I have a feeling that both pieces will end up looking not so good on her because those kinds of things, if not styled right, usually end up looking dowdy/frumpy

the jacket looks beyond conservative, i wouldn't be surprised to see her wearing it for a public engagement in the future

Kate Middleton and Kendra Wilkinson Share a Stylist (fashionista.com)

So we may or may not watch the E! reality show Kendra from time to time. She’s likable. She keeps it real. And apparently, she sometimes wears basketball shorts to five-star restaurants, which is why on this week’s season premiere, her agent forces her to meet with a stylist. But, not just any stylist. Nikki Pennie, who hails from the UK, is apparently responsible for Kate Middleton’s infatuation with Issa, as in the famous blue dress she wore for the official engagement announcement back in November. (She also wore the label frequently before and after.) Pennie was Issa’s director of public relations, according to her bio, and was dubbed a “PR Powerhouse” by Vogue UK.
So how did Nikki Pennie go from putting the Duchess of Cambridge in conservative frocks to dressing a former Playboy bunny and Girl Next Door?
Pennie apparently moved to L.A. within the last couple of years to become a celebrity stylist. According to her bio, Cat Deely, Amy Poehler, Shenae Grimes, Julie Bowen and others are among her celebrity clientele. Of course, Kate Middleton is on the top of the list. From what we can tell, celebrity stylists are a dime a dozen in L.A., so perhaps Pennie will take whatever styling jobs she can get. And one that involves the exposure of a reality TV show appearance couldn’t hurt for someone like Nikki, who is clearly trying to build a name for herself. She’s also a fashion correspondent for CNN and even did royal wedding coverage for the news outlet.
Nikki’s appearance on Kendra was definitely an instance of worlds colliding and made for some pretty entertaining television. Kendra was as surprised as we were to have someone who had worked with royalty coming to her house. Nikki came in wearing Chanel and an air of superiority, but eventually came down to Kendra’s level a little bit and picked out an outfit for her to wear to a barbecue and everything was great.
So, don’t be surprised if Kendra and other L.A. girls suddenly start dressing like K-Mid.

Does anyone else loath ''KMid'' and ''KMiddy''. Saw it in Grazia and was all - ''Really Grazia. Really''.
