Catherine, Princess of Wales (Kate Middleton)

Sorry to disagree with everyone but I think the detailing at the top of the dress actually makes it look tacky

The hair extensions actually surprise me because in all her early photos she's had thick, lovely hair.

It's a little Vegas, but it's actually cool to see her looking a bit younger.

is a hair weft like a lace front weave? i wonder if that means she was wearing extensions at the royal wedding...

I'm not sure why people are throwing a fit all over the blogs about her maybe wearing a weave anyway...who cares? Everyone does it, from time to time.

Coolspotters was wrong, according to Instyle online site her dress is Amanda Wakeley. Sorry for my first ID.

The dress is wonderful. It would be looked even much more better, if she had some curves.

That colour is gorgeous on her. :) It's nice to see some bare shoulders, and this dress is much better than that red dress she was wearing the last time we saw her.

The Daily Mail is now saying it was a childhood scar from a serious injury confirm by the palace.

I suppose that would explain why we don't see her wearing her hair up more often, but it's hardly unsightly, so I hope she experiments with more styles.

hmm - well I doubted whether it was a scar so I rifled through some pics of her in Canada and it does seem to slightly visible then as well, so guess sadly it's not a weave.

Ooh, I like that Amanda Wakeley gown! That is the type of gown I wish she would have worn to the LA dinner event she and William attended. It's nice to see her wearing something more risque and daring.

I wish we had some pics of the back of the gown.

I agree that it's great to see her in something fresher and bit "edgier" but It's still bored. I wish she would/could really shake things up.

I've always wondered if she's obliged to wear only British designers. Anyone knows ?

Underneath Kate’s stylish half-up, half-down hairstyle a prominent three-inch scar could be seen on the side of her left temple.
A spokesman for the Duchess at St James’s Palace confirmed last night that it was the result of surgery as a young child. ‘The scar related to a childhood operation,’ they said.

^ Very pretty! That's Kate's thing- not a vamp, glamour girl or bombshell; she is just very pretty! :crush:

Technically, she can wear any designer from anywhere privately or off-duty. But for public engagements, as a royal, she is expected to wear British designers mainly.
