Catherine, Princess of Wales (Kate Middleton)

Anytime Kate goes with McQueen, the dress treats her very well. She's lucky she has Sarah in her life.

I don't think Kate is one of the most elegant women of the world but her style is very nice, simple and clean. I like it....
But Letizia????Really? I think she has the worst style of the royals, even worse and more boring than Charlene! And I just can't accept how plastic she looks.

She looks very elegant in that black dress! Beautiful!

She really does look stunning. It must be a dream just to be within a kilometer of her.

I just love this entire look! She looks stunning and I don't even like her style very much. Her hair is gorgeous as usual.

She's glowing in this dress. I agree with everyone - the jewelry is amazing. She wears this dress really well. I do enjoy Kate in McQueen.

KATE’S BLACK TIE: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry all donned their black-tie attire Monday night, to attend A Night for Heroes — The Sun Military Awards at London’s Imperial War Museum.

The Duchess returned to her go-to house, Alexander McQueen, with a sleek, black, strapless velvet gown with a fishtail hem for the event. She accessorized the look with a graphic diamond necklace, which she wore with matching diamond earrings and a diamond bracelet. A spokesman for Clarence House said the jewelry was a wedding gift to Kate from a family friend. During a reception ahead of the awards dinner and ceremony, Kate mingled with service men and women who were guests at the ceremony.

The Sun newspaper holds the awards annually to honor members of the British armed forces and civilians involved with the forces. The royal guests were joined by a lineup that included Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife, Samantha; David Beckham and his sons, Brooklyn and Romeo; chef Gordon Ramsey, and a host of British television stars.

Her makeup looks very harsh in the car. I think velvet is very dated and those shoes were a poor choice. Her hair is gorgeous but she needs to cut, straighten, curl it or something because how she wears it does not suit every occasion or situation.

She looks beautiful and I really love her hair but it would be great if
she'd try different things with it.

Love the necklace, don't mind the bag, but those shoes are just not right for this outfit.

i might be the only one who thinks Charlene dresses much better than Kate , Char takes risks while kate is staying in the safe side !

i love the idea that Kate finally wore jewelry although the necklace is hideous , and the gown is a very normal gown , it would fit anyone with slim figure !

She looks lovely in the black velvet dress, and I love the necklace. Very elegant.

But I'm so sick of her hair always being styled the same! It's a gorgeous colour and in wonderful condition but getting a bit boring. She had a lovely up-do while in Canada that I loved, and her hair half-up looks great too.

I really don't get what shoes would have been 'right' for this dress - the heels work for her posture but are otherwise hidden. Anything that stood out would be daft and to be honest a little disrespectful since this is an event for the soldiers.

I usually complain that I want her to wear her hair up, but I like it down in this case.
She looks beautiful!

How can a choice of shoes be disrespectful and daft (unless they're six inch perspex platforms) considering she's wearing a strapless gown? And I'm sure the shoes were visible when she was walking, I doubt they were hidden the whole night. With all the black, a break at the foot would have looked aesthetically pleasing, for example one of the LK Bennett peep toes she has. She dressed up as it was, why would shoes like that have been disrespectful?
