I could see the sheer sleeves working but not a lot else. She has a lot of people to impress with her outfits and this isn't a crowd pleaser. I agree it would look amazing, but I doubt we'll ever see it!

well I cant see anybody wearing that actually, not Kate, not any duchess and not even a celebrity... the dress is stunning but I hate that from McQueen dresses, they are actually beautiful pieces, but hardly to wear them... sometimes I cant find a place where those dresses will look incredible.

I can see Helen Mirren wearing a modified version of that McQueen. And I think it would go nicely at one of Carine Roitfeld's or Natalia Vodinova's big parties, but not much else. It definitely a fashion for fashion's sake's gown. (It almost makes me long for the days when they threw lavish balls for no particular reason just so everybody could show off their finery.)

She look great in any shade of red. and i like the youthful cut of her skirt better than those pencil skirts that she usually wears.

i read somewhere that people think her hemline was too short but i think it's ok with black thights and her hemline is usually at that level but she usually wears pencil skirts.

While I like the color and fit of her jacket I imagine Kate was boiling in the pool-area of the sports center, as I learned from many years of swim team, it's almost always incredibly warm in the pool-area (it looks like she's wearing wool...but I could be wrong). I find it rather interesting how she seems to be wearing coats like dresses (though this is not a new trend), they are the statement pieces, not whatever dress/skirt she has on underneath.

What colour is that coat? In some pictures it looks grey, while in others it looks green, or even blue-ish.

I like it. The coat/belt pairing reminds me of what she wore when she met Crown Princess Mary and toured that factory, but I think this is better (cuz the belt buckle isn't tacky).

I like the red skirt suit-- yes, it's safe, but at least it's a new shade of red for her. And I like the Reiss coatdress too, with the interesting neckline and good belt.

As the Duchess of Cambridge arrived in Stockton this afternoon she was greeted by hundreds of excited locals who has been waiting for hours to catch a glimpse of the beautiful Royal.
Kate arrived to cheers from the crowds lining Prince Regent Street as she paid a special visit to the CRI Stockton Recovery Service.

After a difficult day where William attended the funeral of his beloved nanny and Kate was forced to do a solo engagement, the Royal couple were reunited last night.
They went to a party at the exclusive London private members club Loulou's in Mayfair with other guests including the Duchess of Cambridge's sister Pippa and the Duke's cousin Princess Eugenie.

The black dress seems really nice from those pictures. The rest of her recent outfits have been so frumpy though. Bad silhouettes but nice colours.
