These long silk shirtdress looks need to be kicked to the curb, so dated looking and age her tremendously.

"The Duchess of Cambridge was in her element as she got stuck in with outdoor activities during a visit to a London Scouts Group today.
Kate Middleton, 38, dressed down in jeans, a favourite gilet and a Scouts woggle to meet Cub and Beaver Scouts in Northolt, west London this morning.
The Duchess, who previously volunteered with the Scouts and was a Brownie growing up, joined the children in toasting marshmallows and writing letters to send to care home residents during the outdoor engagement.
The visit coincided with Kate being named joint president of the Scouts. Kate is sharing the position - her first presidency of an organisation - with the Queen's cousin, the Duke of Kent, who has been president of the youth movement since 1975."

Kate Middleton appeared effortlessly elegant as she was joined by Prince William to meet with one of the subjects from her lockdown photography competition at Waterloo Station today.
The Duchess of Cambridge, 38, launched the Hold Still community photography project in May, and invited people of all ages, from across the UK, to submit a photographic portrait which they had taken during lockdown.
The mother-of-three received more than 31,000 entries from members of the public in just six weeks and last month unveiled the top 100 images in a digital exhibition.
Portraits from the competition have now gone on show in 80 towns, cities and areas across the UK, bringing the stories of individuals and families during lockdown back to their communities.
The Duchess donned a crimson Alexander McQueen coat as she joined the Duke, 38, to visit Waterloo in south London to view one of the 112 Hold Still community exhibition sites this morning.

A lot of pantsuits, more business semi-formal, long fitted coats instead of the matronly coat-dresses, slightly thicker (or lower???) heels, still very fitted but not "skinny" jeans, just neat and slender. She's a more mature Duchess, but without looking old. I don't see the 20s Kate anymore, never see her now. Even that wry Kate that peeps through, it's not the same. I always thought of her as Kate and somehow calling her Catherine didn't feel right, but actually now I can see Catherine. Weird.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have presented a Pride of Britain award, on behalf of the nation, to recognise the NHS frontline heroes in their battle against coronavirus.
Kate Middleton and Prince William, both 38, met six representatives of the NHS to discuss their work during the pandemic and to present them with the special recognition award at Britain's oldest hospital, St Bartholomew's in the City of London.
They also offered their support to TV presenter Kate Garraway whose husband Derek is still seriously ill in hospital after contracting Covid-19 in March. Kate introduced the royal couple to the members of the NHS.
The presentation was filmed for the climax of the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards 2020, in partnership with TSB, which will be broadcast on Sunday, 1st November at 9pm on ITV.
Thousands of members of the public nominated all the frontline NHS heroes to receive a special recognition Pride of Britain award.

not sure why this has been disliked so much... I don't live in the UK, so maybe that's why I don't understand the negative reception?
