I took my paddy to Chloe london today ....
they said it is a faulty handle that should be changed ...
they are sending it to Paris to be fixed ...
I will be without my bag for 2 weeks ... probably more .....
but at least i will get a great one later right? ...
ok now i HAVE to buy a speedy ... hahahaha

Hi, I am going to break down an buy a paddy- finally. Does anyone know how much I will pay in import taxes in the US if I buy from Luisaviaroma- the bag is 1055 Euros.

When you purchase it, LVR will automatically deduct the VAT from the total and then add shipping. Once you have your final amount from them, you can use a currency converter to figure out the final price in US dollars.

Then you can figure you'll pay approximately 10% of the price in US import fees. You won't end up paying that until a few weeks after you receive your bag though - you'll get the bill later from Customs directly.

I just got my quote (not bill) from FedEx customs - $119 which hopefully includes any additional fees from FedEx. I was also surprised by a $33 currency conversion fee from my credit card company, but it was still a good deal.

If you're in the US I returned a lovely one to Nordstrom in Portland OR recently. 503-620-0555 and ask for handbags. Also I think someone posted a sighting at another store within the last few pages.

I LOVE your attitude - don't cry about the paddy being gone for awhile - just go out and get something to take it's place.
BTW - I'm glad you're getting it fixed!

the one brown i saw had brown lining. and how you can tell it doesn't have a tag -- you need a picture of the inside of the pocket.

his, that's good news!
first it was locks and now handles. chic-chic's handle has the same problem. did you get your bag from chloe london? i wonder if any chloe shop will take care of any problem with their bags?
