Hi everyone!

I'm new here and wondering if anyone can tell me anything about this website - http://www.intrends.com/chloe.html

Is this place legit or at the bags fakes?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi Cilla9 - interesting web site. My gut feeling is that since none of the Chloe afficionados talk about shopping from that site it couldn't possibly be an honest source, otherwise they wouldn't be purchasing from LVR in Italy with all its hassles to get a discount, or going without their Chloes when there are still legit ones on the market.

They charge a 10% restocking fee + $9.99 for all returns, so even if you return something they still make money off of you. They ARE legit with Better Business Bureau if you check that, but they have had a few claims regarding refunds - but it doesn't detail authenticity issues.

I just emailed them to ask questions about how they get their stock and how they process authenticity issues - how you have to prove it and if you don't get charged the 10% etc. We'll see what they say and I'll report back...:flower:

Thank you so much!

Cilla9 - this is their response (my comments added):

"As you can see we do not offer the Chloe bags at a discounted price. Actually we are at a higher price then what they retail for. ( HUH?)

Our merchandise is 100% authentic or a full refund including the shipping charges that you had to pay to ship the item back for any reason. (did not answer my question directly - e.g. what do you have to submit to prove fake, and does full refund include their fees in this case)

If you want to place an order you can give us a call at 866-346-8736 my extension is # 3 and my name is Chris, I would be happy to assist you.

If you have any other questions please let me know

Thank you

Have a great day,

Cilla - Based on their bizarre and indirect response, I wouldn't shop there. If you've got the fee money to burn to test them, that's your decision, but there are very few verifiable e-tailers and those are very well known. Good luck!

Has anyone seen the paddy tote on NAP in grey? what do you think of this color or should I get it in the black?

I did take a look at it. The "grey" looks like the noir/non-metallic anthracite. Aloha Rag has black, so you have options... What color do you prefer?

NAP

Aloha Rag

Blue genie - thanks again, that was a crazy response.

beaumonde - I was asking for a friend who is looking for a chocolate Paddington. I just received my first Paddington(color taupe) yesterday from NAP and I am so in love with it.

Chocolate is hard to find! Keep your eye on NAP though because they pop up from time to time.

ChloeConcord, beautiful shopper!

That bag has been on there for ages now - since I bought my blue. I quite like it, but I've not seen it in the flesh so I don't know how true the colour is.

It's a scary thought, but when I bought my blue, I actually had a choice of all the colours (some of which have now disappeared) as I must have been first on the site. Damn NAP's one bag per customer policy!

bergdorf's and neiman's have some pocket paddies available now, but i'm confused by the colors. they both (i think mistakenly) describe "sunflower" as bright tan -- what in the world is bright tan? i've seen the and it's just plain tan. and what color is sunflower -- is it different than jaune or are they just making up color names again?

Pretty crazy, possibilities...
BG/NM sunflower = tan (?)
BG/NM ivory = blanc
BG/NM tan = taupe (?)

From BG...sunflower or bright tan...

The tan I returned...

BTW, I saw the jaune at NM BH yesterday...it was more of a light yellow...

i have heard that chloe did two yellows for spring (i can't imagine why) -- one bright and one not. mammab got (and returned) one that she described as "mustard powder". the sunflower could be a bright yellow (and "bright tan" a typo). i am continuously mystified why designers make color identification so complicated.

^ As well as why retailers can't use the color name established by Chloe for the seasonal colors...

yellow issues

I just saw this on BG's website -- this is the "yellow" I was hoping for when I ordered the pocket (mind you, on BG's website this bag is listed as OLIVE ?? Anyways....another brain twister there):

BGV7569_mp.jpg

(photo from Bergdorfgoodman.com)

Instead, I got Jaune (which is how the round label read) which is (see attached). Yellow w/Brown hints. The photo that I uploaded actually portrays the bag as being lighter, when infact, it is darker (depending on your monitor).

Now, if I can find the big pocket in that yellow above -- which is listed as Olive -- I am all over it. But I am tired of searching. I'm mentally exhausted. I am just patiently waiting for Nordstroms to call to say they have my blanc big pocket in. So far so good.
