I have an inkling Vachette means calf leather.. all Paddys at present are made out of lambskin?

I ADORE the mini Paddy with the black lock. If anyone finds a pic of it in bleu nuit please post it!

Thanks Kiptrip! I knew it was calf leather but it didnt really explain a lot to me, but now I realise that the present ones are made of lambskin, is that right? Would anyone suggest the ads. and disads. of buying a vachette or the normal one? Thanks

I agree, although the lock gives it the look, I still think it's a gorgeous bag without it because it's got an interesting slouchy look and the details are amazing. Adding a scarf could jazz it up too.

hahah it is hard, i the beginning i was like SO obsessed with them i tried EVERY single way to get hold of one esp the cream paddington for Autmn 05 and FINALLY i got hold of one in Bahrain, since i i live in Vancouverm, there isnt any place to get a paaddington escept one store. When i got mines from Bahrain , i swear it was one of the happist moment of my life, i still love it but right now i reallyt RAELYL want a birkin hermes blu jean. i dont know if i should sell mty paddy since it is SO beautiful and smells so nice and SO soft and collpases when put on a table, but on the other hand, seeems like chloes ,making TOO many paddies and its too overcrazed now you know. but id still miss my paddy if i sell it. im having a big problem here ><

Yea the maount of fakes is really dissapointing :/...they gettign quite good at it too these days just like the balenciagas!

I'm getting quite sick of the fakes too! Those Chinese who sell them should be punished (and of course all who carry them too). It's no fun anymore now everyone is toting a paddy.

well, maybe another case of putting the item away for a later revival when the trend dies down

or personalizing it some way... with a scarf, some sort of charm/keychain(not too tacky tho'), or if you have the heart to do it, some kind of damage/alteration/custom work to the bag.

I thinking of selling it too... is a really nice bag.
Especially I have the colour "craie" and the leather is so soft.
I don't know... I'll miss the bag after I sell it. Hard decision
