Christian Dior F/W 2006.07 Paris

I agree the music just destroyed the presentation. From seeing the pics I felt that this whole Gothic look was gonna work if presented with the usual Dior attitude and an appropriate soundtrack...Oh well, drag-hobo-chic Dior was fun while it lasted.
...On the plus, nice clothes.

^ Well if you break each look down what you have is a lot of jackets and coats, skirts, some pants and a handful of dresses....most of these pieces by themselves have the potential to look really cool for real people.

i've seen his colections 'broken down', i mentioned a white leather trench coat with cut-outs...the clothes by themselves are worse imo

I liked the clothes for the most part. I'm surprised actually because I don't get John Galliano sometimes.

indeed, he made the models galiano replicas

When I was looking at the pictures I was like.. .have I seen these models before? haha then when I saw his pic at the end I was like, oh he casted only one fug male model for the end of the show.. then I was like, wait.. thats Galliano.

I guess he wants some clones.

The music is horrible. It's soo happy while this collection is so not happy. I could see maybe like Hung Up remixed with NIN and some very hard electronica and house...Very severe sound

When they edit out the part when John walks into the wall

I just watched the video and I did not see him walking into the wall... quick editing :p

Oh dear goodness. Those belts are horrendous. And I don't like the big and bulky look... this collection is like Galliano, himself... dark, gothic, freaky, and crazy, all rolled into one!

Ugh.

wow!, you hate Dior but spend time on their threads and also on their boutiques, who are you, some kind of fashion masoquist?

i like the Music, i think the soundtracks are there to help the audience understand the inspiration and references from wich the collection was designed or at least that´s the smartets way of using one, how come Marilyn Manson (90´s), Madonna´s latest hit or a trance mix could have helped served the 80´s references any better?.

there is no need to be nasty...it helps to argue your point than say nothing you know..

hahahaha so one day you could destroy Dior and all of us label whores who love it , you can´t be serious...

besides when saying you find Dior tacky, wich we both knows is the worst possible insult you can get here in the fashion spot  (god forbid you like something with one too many sequins on it or too revealing!!) you are implying all of us Dior or Galliano fans have a tacky sense of taste (wich is totally fine with me, if i would have known that word before i probably would have use it as my nickname), so wouldn´t that make you nasty too?

i love all the dresses near the end and alot of the jackets and skirts...my only problem with this collection is some of the suit jackets...they have no shape..they aren't fitted at all, which i don't think is that good a look, but other than that this collection is amazing

Did anyone notice how the red translucent plastic at the end of the runway shook? That was the good old fight of man and wall. It's funny when he tried to play it off, and everyone claps..."Oh you! Silly Galliano!"

Just watched the show at dior.com and I love it. I know I'm in the minority but the music was great with the mix of Van Halen, Pat Benator, Bon Jovi. If Jeremy Healy is still doing the music, he did a great job. The show looked so fun. The pants, jackets and bias cut dresses are wearable and commercial.

the video on dior.com does show galliano walk into the wall. if you look really closely, as he's coming out, he's marching forward, right into the wall, and then really quickly (playing off his mistake) he turns to the right....

I liked the colletion so far the music I think should of been harder rock then what was played at the presention. I liked though it was nice still.
