hahahaha so one day you could destroy Dior and all of us label whores who love it , you can´t be serious...

besides when saying you find Dior tacky, wich we both knows is the worst possible insult you can get here in the fashion spot  (god forbid you like something with one too many sequins on it or too revealing!!) you are implying all of us Dior or Galliano fans have a tacky sense of taste (wich is totally fine with me, if i would have known that word before i probably would have use it as my nickname), so wouldn´t that make you nasty too?

i am implying?! dude, you can't say that i despise all Galliano fans, that's too rash of a comment. and yes, in the grand scheme of things, (like it or not my friend) Dior by John Galliano is unimportant..the revival of YSL by Stefano Pilati is, Rei Kawakubo is, Dries Van Noten is...

sure, whatever works best for you dude, i actually like Ysl by Pilati and Van Noten, Kawakubo is not really my style, and of course the fact that you don´t find Galliano for Dior relevant or important necesarily means so, you must stay away from this thread because it seems Galliano´s arrogance sticks very easily.

i'll go to whatever thread i want to, thank you very much.

Well, I like the dresses and some of the pants (especially in the last post). But I hate how John Galliano dresses after every single runway show, so the long straight hair/bandana/sunglasses look is awful. However, the dresses so make up for it!

Not to add any fuel to the fire, but it's quite arrogant of you to say what is and isn't important in fashion...it's entirely subjective.

Until I saw this comment I was going to just stay out of the rediculously tedious argument that inevitably follows Galliano's collections (seriously, it's so freaking old, no one ever produces any new arguments in the matter, it's just the same compalints rehashed no matter what he may have done with the collection, it's always "tacky" "tasteless" "boring" "nothing new" and blah blah blah.), but you really need to keep in mind that importance is a matter of opinion and taste, regardless of what you may think.

And today I was thinking about this collection yet again, it dawned on me that some of this looks very Dior Homme to me. Now, everyone loves Dior Homme, Hedi's name is constantly bounced around as Galliano's ideal replacement, and yet when Galliano produces a collection reminicent of Hedi's half glam/half goth aesthetic it's tacky.....maybe I'm the only one who'll take notice of the Dior Homme similarity, but I find the hypocrisy funny.

It's funny how Dior's show almost always get the longest pages fastest...and people wonder why John's name is so hyped up...if you don't like his antics, don't fuel it by making it such a big deal and maybe when he'll change...because he's going to keep on doing what he's doing if he can get people interested in him, his business, and clothes...anyway...I love the details of the clothes...I adore the tulle detailing on the jackets and coats, and I love the cropped jackets with high collars and lonog fur, the dresses are amazing as well...and the shoes...I think I've already mentioned on the shoes...it's just heavenly...I wish he had done some in the glass clear perfume bottle heels that he did for couture...I can't say that it's his best because I prefer the HC collection much better but in general I think this is a show with beautiful clothes but ok styling...

^ I remember reading about those perfume bottle shoes in the review, but I couldn't find any close-ups of them....do you know where I can see one Foxie?

I can't find a good picture but if you watch the video very closely, you can see them mostly clearly on Tasha...it looks kinda like the ones for RTW but instead of a metal heel, it's a thinker, curved clear heel with a central tubing thing...I hope that helps

I can see it too. I think one important difference is that JG has so much humor - just the guts it takes to have this beautiful collection and have the girls prance down the runway to Bon jovi. It's certainly fearless...

Well. Hedi can do no wrong. And, yes that is irony. No matter how unpleasant the marching of pre-pubescent boys gets, not one unkind word will flow from the lips of DH fans.

Oh, and I learned that when someone does something that's been done before it's called copying, when Hedi does it it's merely "emulating to the culmination of perfection."

I quite like it.
While I can deal without the headbands and sunglasses, I think it adds to the humour :)

i wish he had done a rtw version of the "bloody" pearl chokers
Now that would have been fabulous. As much as I like the clothes in the collection, I do wish he had continued with the s&m/rvolution theme......
