Christian Dior Haute Couture F/W 2006.07 Paris

^ Yeah, I think that doublet on Natasha is completely covered in feathers, it's so dramatic...but the effect is subtle.

And I totally agree about the helmets, the one Elise wears with those giant pheasent feathers is just amazing. Stephen jones is brilliant.

This McQueen from 2000 reminds me of this collection. It seems like CSM ppl have the same concepts almost...

HAHAHAHAHA!

Just saw the video ... at the end the Zodiac wheel on the backgroud spins so fast I swear I thought Galliano planned it to hypnotize:

"Buuuuuuy my clotheeeeeeeees"
"This is the best effin' collection eveeeeeeeer"

i would literally SHRIEK with pleasure if someone wore that last piece to the Oscars --- the one where it looked like the woman was riding on a horse or something under her dress. i have truly NEVER seen anything like that .

can you imagine the entrance that would make?!?! though it certainly wouldn't fit in the backseat of any car. haha. she'd have to arrive by Uhaul. hahhaaa. i can just see the expression on Joan Rivers' face when some star "rode" over in that insane dress.

^ lol I hope someone has enough guts to wear the cobalt blue galactic gown... it's simply divine.

HaHaHaHa!!!!!!!! good one. It was a bit dizzying, wasn't it?

excuse me, I think i need to go buy dior clothes now....
I think this was his best effing collection ever......

i like it. it's better than his recent ones. i absolutely love the setting and the themes used. however, sometimes when i look at some dresses from this collection and see potential, it's always upstaged by the theatrical presentation that obscures the dress. can't we have a theatrical setting and have some clear view of what the dress might be in real life? i feel somewhat cheated in that sense, but i digress as this collection is quite stunning.

 maybe charlize would do it for galliano. she wore that hideous bow for him.

cheers, peeps!

ps i looke dthrough the rules, and I think I'm okay, but I hope i'm not breaking any rules by doing this¬!

I think the theme of this collection is one of galliano's best, really worked out well and creative, although i also rally liked the nude chiffon edwardian 05-06 A/W show.

from this collection I really like how thsi dress is made and the way galliano used the theme:

Oh I loved that part with Snejana... Ekaterina Kashyntseva walked it the best!:mowhawk: Great background music too! ^_^

i actually love this collection now! at first, it was a bit..ehh...but it really grew on me! after watching the show, all the different themes were so brilliant. a very nice contrast in my opinion. Ekaterina Kashyntseva had the best walk, but i thought everyone in the "punk" section had very nice walks.[that one model in the red and black outfit had indeed a very weird walk though..] i loved all of the pieces there. i only saw Hana [was it?] trip in the "grecian dresses" portion, but who else did? i didnt notice. i also really liked those nice big big gowns with the headresses. [she really DID look like she was riding a horse!! she could barely turn around... -__-"]

oh im really starting to like the lettuce things!

I think I can see Lara Flynn Boyle (sp?), Björk or Helena Bonham Carter in that on some award show..... I'd die on the spot if they'd really wear that on the red carpet! :D

Edit: Oh, Uk VOgue

Charlotte di Calipe tripped when she turned around. She was the third lettuce. Also Katarina Ivanovska tripped when she was at the end of the runway, during the finaly. And I am so happy that Ekaterina has gained so many new fans through this show!!

OFF TOPIC::::VOGUE UK'S website has a picture of GALLIANO'S DIFFUSION LINE that has been shown but I can't locate any real footage other than vogue uk's main web page showing only 1 picture of a girl in a 70's style workout outfit with a Galliano logo belt!!! www.vogue.co.uk take a look!!!
