So far the daywear pieces are really promising and feel like something John would have done for Dior in the 90's (especially the white one with the laser-cut skirt) which is really exciting!

Tanya's dress is beautiful (reminds me a lot of the one she wore for RTW SS 08)...I'd like it more without the necklace, though. I'm just so stoked to see John do simplicity for couture...we haven't seen that from him in a while!

So far, the only thing that is holding this collection back from being really excellent is the pastel color scheme....besides that, I like a majority of what we've seen so far, and there are quite a few pieces I ADORE!!!

completely agree! couture isn't all about the theatrics, it's about the craftsmanship!! this is all very elegant and refined.
