Christian Dior HC F/W 12.13 Paris

its ok as a RTW collection but as a Haute Couture collection sorry its boring as hell. Lot of this looks straight up J crew.

I'm surprised by the negative reaction. I think this looks like a toned down version of Dior. Raf is a minimalist designer so why did people expect that that would change with his appointment to Dior? This is a beautiful collection as far as I'm concerned. I don't believe that HC has to be a huge spectacle.

The marriage between Raf and Dior will definately be like that of Karl and Chanel! This is a great start for him!

i think it was a really beautiful collection! especially the dresses with the different back and front were truly genius and clever!!

also the fact that the looks look different in each salon with the flowered wall is very interesting!!!

I thought that collection was fantastic. Looking forward to seeing HQs because all the gowns in the finale looked stunning and I can't wait to see all the details on them.
And are people seriously saying this is worse than what Gaytten did? Uh... I don't really agree with that. Sure, this is slightly underwhelming for a Dior Haute Couture collection but it's beautiful whereas everything Gaytten did looked outdated and tacky.

I agree with this! I think it was absolutely fantastic. People are still being used to Galliano for Dior, but as someone already said before: Dior is NOT Galliano. He was not the only designer for the house, but people still compare every collection with his collections.
It just needs some getting used to!

I personally hated Galliano's designs (and Gaytten's ofcourse) and I really love minimalism so this is an ultimate collection for me.

Oh and nice to see other designers front row

And can salude the impeccable jewelry please? Victoire de Castellane never fails.

i really love it! i love minimalistic fashion and i think it works for dior
i didnt like all the looks, some of them were unappealing
it wasnt breathtaking but it was sophisticated and i think its a good start for raf at dior.

i tried to figure out which of these mila kunis/natalie portman would be wearing, a lot of them aren't short girl friendly  i like that last white dress a lot, but i guess i'm neither impressed or disappointed here. i won't remember a single piece from this collection.

the idea of flowers of the wall ,is so Blumarine, there is nothing new about this.. nothing genius about the back of these dresses are so overdone , I am over John , I just need innovation and need real couture ... I know it is so hard , but we need quality here and now link :

This is good as RTW but in terms of HC, it falls way behind, its too boring and banal.

Victoire? It's Camille's work actually.

Cathy Horyn is so biased... This is terrible.
