Coloured tights

yesterday i bought some new tights, i got brown and black ribbed tights, and also some toothpastey-green opaque tights! cant wait to wear them...

I'm obsessed with coloured tights! Just bought purple, royal blue, and ruby red from Macy's.

I absolutely adore coloured tights. I think the best part of body is my legs, because I don't really have any hips or boobs or whatever, so I like to show a lot of leg, and then cover the rest of me up!
The bold colours really make an outfit look a lot more...cheerful! When I go shopping, I look around and I'm surrounded by such neutral colours: black, white, grey, beige etc. so a touch of colour looks fantastic!
I have tights in parrot green, turquoise, dove grey, white, bright purple, navy blue... I plan on buying more, as they really make an outfit interesting. I love pairing them with really bright shoes, like my sunshine yellow chunky heels or patent red t-bar heels.

Ooooh, and I find the best place to get them is Tabio, as they make them in really high deniers, so they're literally just blocks of colours! I'm not so keen when they look sheer...

I got to finally wear mine last night. :woot: Pictures are coming soon.

The picture is too dark so you can't tell but the colour I'm wearing is aubergine.

^She looks fantastic wearing her blue tights with such a brightly-coloured dress.
It's an unexpected combination that works but her neutral cardi and booties help to tone it down.

Nemova - you look cute with your walking shorts and aubergine tights

I never thought I would like this... but looking through this thread... :woot: wow, it really can add such a fun twist to an outfit!

*EDIT-do not quote pictures*

Iekeliene can do no wrong when it comes to coloured tights

I love this thread, it's so inpiring

great color tights nemova!
i love that deep shade of purple..

Is it ok to wear coloured tights (I have royal blue, deep purple, and ruby) with denim mini skirt plus black top and black knee-high boots? I'm visiting here in the US and I don't have a lot of clothes with me.

And also, is it ok to wear a blue floral summer-y mini dress with royal blue tights, navy jacket and knee-high boots (I have brown, ashgrey and black) or is it too summery for the winter?

Fashion is all about creating your own looks! They both sound great, but you shouldn't have to care what other people think my dear! If you like something, then trust your instincts and go with it

Thanks PrincessImp, m4ryb3ar and ChrissyM. :flower:

Nemova, I second the comments - you look great. But it really is hard to catch the right color of dark purple. I've tried as well :P

And I love Iekeliene - she looks fantastic. I should see if I can find a dress that looks a bit similar -well at least something printed in bright colors. :P

Just snapped a pic of my drawer with my colored tights, I just bought some a few days ago in orange, off white, navy and wine-red.. I never thought I would wear opaque white-ish tights. But I got inspired to wear them with something grey both in light and somewhat darker shades..
