Elettra is numero uno from what I've seen. She wears the exact right make-up and dress. Breath taking. Also, L'Wren Scott has a good outfit (not to mention the hair).

Charlotte Gainsbourg. Gorgeous & Different. love the beautiful long hair.
Helena Christensen. Perfect.
Bee Schaffer. Love everything but the color.
Angela Lindvall. Everything except her haircolor.

I agree, this year's gala was very disappointing. Everyone looked as if they had just come from Academy Awards.

However, there was one outfit I adored, and that was the Viktor & Rolf dress of Shalom Harlow.

NOOOOO!! I bought the cutest little feather headband that wasn't too tacky or too flappery (think Chanel circa Carrie Bradshaw during the baptism ep) and Kirsten Dunst had to go ruin it for me!!! ugh, hating on her right now.

at first I hated MK and now....I love it!? Probably my favourite of the night. But at first it was a disaster to me

ME TOO!! And now I think it's beautiful! Maybe it's because I left my computer and went out for nachos, and beer with my friends and came back with a whole new perspective! No but really I think she's amazing and looks great. I even saw pictures of her smiling...WITH HER TEETH SHOWING! When she does real smiles she's so beautiful!

So I'm going to be in the minority, but I actually like what Kirsten is wearing. I'd never wear it, and I don't think that most people would able to pull it off at all, but I think she does. Her bf and his boots, that's another story.

Now I love Cameron's gown but the jewelry is a big no-no.

I really like the way mary-kate looks. Clean and not trashy like Jessica simpson who looks like trash.
I am actuly not hating Kirstin Dunst dress either. Its diffrent and I love Ellens simple dress. She looks great. Liv T has wounderful hair and make-up and the color of dress is lovely on her!

So disappointing overall. Standouts from what I have seen so far were Cate Blanchett and Kate Bosworth because they best represented the Poiret theme, Camilla Belle because her gown was beautiful even if she didn't wear it well, and Mary Kate Olsen because her dress was a great feathery mix of goth and glam. Jessica Simpson...what can I say...she looks like a gutter rat. Red lips and leather skin never mix, and whomever allowed her to wear that dress should be fined...heavily. Had I been working the door at the event, I would have revoked her invitation. Kirsten Dunst, who I usually love in Lacroix couture, would have looked great had she washed her hair or maybe worn some makeup. I love the look she was going for, but she most definitely failed to accomplish it. Amanda Peet is another person whose style I usually adore, but her outfit was by far the worst of the evening. I have no idea how she thought that was appropriate for the event or even appropriate for any event past 1985. There is hope still left for me as I have yet to see what Dr. Lisa Airan wore. She never fails to delight, and as a pre-med student working toward a career in cosmetic dermatology, her style always succeeds to inspire.
