Dries Van Noten F/W 10.11 Paris

It does comes across better in the video, especially when the shapes of the outfits as the models move, details from the sides and back, etc. are more apparent. It is nothing new - the conservative vibe is unmistakable, and likely intentional, but done better than others, eg. Prada. I still miss the old studiously provocative DvN and prefer it to this non-fashion collection.

i am totally in love with this. it is so feminine, comfortable, casual and chic. adore the silhouettes, colour and styling. PERFECTION.

i guess it's not hard times after all.. the move is more, just realistic..
i don't know what everyone's raving about. i miss the old Dries too. this feels for me the more recent new 'character' showing up more and more in his collections nearing the end of the decade. i have seen simpler pieces of his before, i watched a couple of old shows of his a few months ago, of when he still had his thick wavy black hair and pudgy skin.. and even those clothes were still interesting, no matter if it was void of any kind of embellishment

oh and i thought it funny the man wailing in the background was kind of ruining all of that romantic violin.. if quiet, i might have been hooked

GAH definitely one of my favourites of the season. this collection simply epitomizes my taste, it's ridiculous. it's SO well done. i'm completely in love. from the silohuettes to each print, each colour.

It's uniforms mixed with a post-WWII silhouette mixed with a bit of orientalism in the watery palette, references to armor and a little jungle extravaganza. Things that make no sense at all when you think of them in any combination, but he just knows how to make it work. He's famous for his feeling for color and prints and I love it that even when he does it far less eclectic and extravagant than usual, you can still see it.
exactly:heart:

i love the direction dries is going in. everything is so right. the colours, the prints. the ease and wearability have me hooked!!!! ilove it!!!! still loving dries trousers and the sleeveless gray trench:) the printed blazers and trousers. love love love. no fuss dressing:D

Classy, classy, classy. I love the hints of military chic - the best cargos, the great greens, double-breasted coats, aviator gloves, great bags. Reminds me of something Keira Knightly and co. would have worn in Atonement and I love it.

I love the collection. The proportions are great and I love the "vibe" of the whole collection and some of the models. Like they look so chic, they know it but seem to don't care at all, just looking fabulous.

prada cant own the full skirt! this collection is more than stunning. id wear almost every piece. and the ones i wouldnt wear its not because i dont like them... i love so much. sooo so so so much.

i never expect anything less from dries... he always knows how to combine simplicity with chic. great collection, i love the leopard use.

Amazing! Dries can do no wrong, in my eyes. The shapes, the colours, the styling: it's amazing. Only Dries can do the leopard-leopard-on leopard this way!

Wonderful collection!
