When is elite model look 2008?

^ November 1st in Sanya, China. The whole event usually goes on for well over a week, though, I guess the girls will arrive about ten days before the final. So it's pretty soon.

Neither do I... she's way too comercial and already in her early twenties, which is 'old' for this contest. I think that Amparo, the first runner-up, would have been a much better choice, she looks much more model-esque (this is not her best picture, but I can't find any better at the moment)

^ I find Stine rather plain in unretouched pics. A bit potato-faced. But there's a pretty thin line between blandness and versatility, and with such a nice runway look, she'll probably do well.

Sofia's tall and pretty, and if you look that good in snapshots, there's definitely potential.

The Dutch winner was announced yesterday. 15 yo Avna Visser.

Belgian winner Louise Maselis, 15.

Avna looks like an unexciting mix between Ymre and last year's Dutch winner Jaimy Visscher. Not impressed so far. I guess Elite Amsterdam will send more than one girl, but there was no mention of this.

I think my favourites so far are Sofia, Avna, Stine, The Lazic Twins and Victoria. I hope the resemblance to Ymre won't hinder Avna too much.

She definitely looks older, and seems quite composed and eloquent, but that's what it says.

There's no clear favorite this year imo. But then again I've only seen half of the girls, if that.

Elite Stockholm are sending a brand new girl called Tilda (not the one on the site), and maybe someone else, not sure what they decided. She looked plain-ish in the few digitals I've seen.

Apparentely Sun Feifei is going! She's wicked, and it's high time for an Asian winner...

The girls are already in China. I hope there'll be an official website for the event... we wouldn't want to miss the infamously heinous headshots, now would we?
