So I really love the extra-long-t-shirt trend...shirts that are nicely fitted, but are extra long and cover your butt. Kinda looks like a mini dress over jeans? Okay, so I think ya'll know what I'm talking about now. Anyway, I was wondering if there's a way to take a larger t-shirt and hemming it to make it a slimmer fit so that it looks like that?

Are you talking about this kind of idea?

sorry hon but tuckin your shirt in is sooooo not a good look!!!!!!!
I prefer guys to be trendy but not girly....you know like the D&G, Dsquared look.

i like long t-shirts as undershirts, so i tuck them in ... :p

i'd never wear a t-shirt on its own, that's just sick.

you could take another t-shirt as a template and resew it

I think it has something to do witn japanese street style-trend, they seem to prefer longer shirts. Love it.

newport news has a really long silky sleeveless top that they're trying to pass off as a tunic... wtf?? but i like it.

I hate the ghetto-fab extra long/large white tee though. It's just such a ridiculous look. Makes me sick...

but then again so does all of the ghetto fab "fashion"...

I def. don't like my tees that long, but I am quite pleased that they are making longer cuts. They really don't fit very long on me because I have a long torso, but I"m happy to no longer bare my belly all the time.

Yes! There's a better idea of what I'm talking about. I LOVE japanese street fashion. I know this one is a overplayed record, but another idea as to what I'm talking about would be the long tshirts we've all seen MaryKate and Ashley wearing.

don't stone me for referring to http://www.oldnavy.com, but I remember seeing them promoting some of those extra long tees when I was in the states in december...they seem to be carrying it on for spring. uber cheap for those who want to give it a try.

I love extra long t-shirts because I am 6'1" and with the trend of baby-t's and croped shirts I can never find anything that doesn't make me look like a britney spears back up dancer. What I have been doing is buy mens t-shirts and then taking in the sides to make them more fited.

I bought a couple long tshirts from Old Navy. They're actually surprisingly nice.

I have the exact same problem. so I'm loving this trend

Let us hope it continues.. Even though I am a very dainty 5'3'' I am quite gifted in the long torso department
