thank you! the bag is a beauty and it looks so beautiful when carried. there is a tiny bit of difference in the texture of the leather, but I dont think anyone will notice, unless you compare it side by side.. I am trying to put leather conditioner to make the leather more matte

Bella08 are you absolutely sure it's been seized? That's terrible.
Catty normally wraps things so well I'm surprised that anyone could be bothered unwrapping the parcel!
It does worry me but I keep telling myself that the chance of it happening is pretty small.
I thought it was really only Europe that had a higher risk???
I've had 2 T&D works shipped together once (ruby and eb) but there were no problems.
I guess 3 bags is probably pushing it though.

Your item was received by sorting center(GUANGZHOU) at 2009-06-17 01:54:00

It's actually still saying that. So when I checked with her yesterday she said it had been seized and she had already mailed me a new package the day before and not to worry.
Yes, T&D shipped a clutch to me with another bag and it was fine. I have had other orders from Catty with more items and no problems. I'm happy that she took care of it for me and hopefully I will get the new package.

Which brings up a question I have for ladies that have had shipments seized...other than being out the money you spent (if the seller doesn't reship--which it seems most will), does anything happen to you? Or is it just the seller that has to worry? I tried Googling for this information, but wasn't able to find anything specific.

Thanks Joanne. Other than possibly losing money (on either side) unless their seem to be HUGE shipments coming frequently (larger than most of us get) I don't think anything really happens. Some countries may flag particular addresses, but not really sure.

bella - so sorry the items were seized. was it a lot of stuff? luckily, the sellers we primarily work with (catty, t&d, jacky) are very good about dealing with this issue. it's one reason that makes me weary of dealing with other sellers. actually, i've never ordered from catty, but i know from her reputation in this thread, she provides great CS when she can.

baby_yorkie - OK. <3 <3 <3 that bag! OMG! the leather is TDF! i do see the issue with the scratch and it would be bug me as well as the bag is so dark. but that leather! mmm! is it the largest size or the med? his listing says med, but the measurements seem so big?

any suggestions for a bag for beach travel? not really for the beach, but for when i'm on the resort/dinners/shopping/etc? thinking of the gold easy, but it kind of seems so big and floppy (i want it anyway, but for everyday use). wardrobe will probably be various sundresses and caftans, neutral wedges...i'm thinking something of a decent size, but i think it want to go structured...beige, gold, nude...any ideas?

I know that if you have a package seized in the U.S., they will flag your address for roughly a two-week period, but I'm not much help with other countries, sorry! Hopefully your new package will get through!!

thesiren - I really want this Juicy beach bag. I don't even know why. I think the gold easy would look AMAZING for a beachy resort type of travel... If it's too big and floppy, you can always use it to hold some purchases

I also see the very small difference between it and your auth...but I also think it'd be impossible to tell unless they're side by side. Do you mind comparing the chains and letting us know if the colors are very different?

Chain's perfect, can't tell the difference when put side by side babybluestar the gold Chanel logo is more than 95% exact in color, even less noticeable than the texture of the leather if you want more pictures I will take some more later, do let me know

It's so good that Catty replaces the parcels if they're seized, I wouldn't have expected her to do that!

Talking of delivery issues, Parcelforce have apparently delivered my bag, for which someone else has signed. God knows who has it, as they didn't put a card through my door to say where it was. The webiste tells me it was delivered, and shows the name and signature of the person who signed for it, and I have no clue who they are or where they live.

Parcelforce are closed, so I need to wait until tomorrow to find out what's going on

I was never into Chanel but when I "peek" at both the 2896, my heart did a little turn. It's really gorgeous! But kinda too big for my liking. Maybe I will get the smaller one the next round. *ok.. i admit. i did more than just peeking, I took the whole thing out of the dustbag, coz strangely the dustbag was inside out.*

Reviews of my bags :
Tivoli PM - Quite lovely, but there seems to be slightly extra leather (which means a tad broader) as compared to the auth. The zips doesn't go smoothly, but perhaps some application of wax will do the trick.

Mulberry cluth - This, I was quite shocked to see its size. My mistake as Jacky did put it as 21cm x 33cm x 8cm; and somehow I just look at the first number and thought it was the length, and from there the whole bag is smaller. But after looking past the size, I'm loving it.

Mulberry E-W Choc - Somehow this bag doenst cut it. It just seems to be hanging odd. I dont know if its the overall shape that is off or that perhaps one handle is longer than the other. I didn't have time to further analyze it. Will continue tonight to try to pinpoint what is off about it.

carat - wax will definitely do the trick. i actually used a little lush massage bar on my suhali lockit GM from jacky and it fixed the zipper perfectly. it works like a charm nearly two years later.

Windsash I just got the large blue LV Ipanema from Jackie. Check his site under canvas bags. He has yellow and red as well. The small is a handbag and the large is a beach tote. Really cute bags.

I have one from Jackie that I'm happy with. There are pics posted on the pictures only site. I am finding the leather is getting a nice patina. The logos line up perfectly on the "front" and the back line up is slightly off. But I noticed the logo line up in the picture on the LV site is also slightly off. The leather shoulder straps are slightly lighter weight than my authentic LV Batignolles. But the bag is nice and I think the canvas colors are pretty close.....not yellow.....the squares are slightly gray blue but not quite as blue as the authentic. Hope that helps.
