Hi everyone...

Well, I am stoked! I had ordered an LV Neverfull GM (the Palm Beach one) from ioffer and it came yesterday (which also happened to be my birthday)!!

Overall, I'm very pleased. The details are generally quite good and the quality of construction is solid. There was only thing that stood out for me, which maybe some of you ladies could comment on.

When comparing it to my authentic LV's (Alma and Hudson), the monogram canvas is decidedly thinner and less stiff. Visually, it's irrelevant, but when touching/carrying it, it is definitely noticeable.

I don't own any tote-style authentic LV's (i.e. bags that have large areas of monogram canvas), so I didn't know if it was the sheer amount of canvas that was contributing to the apparent lack of stiffness.

Can anyone comment on this? Thanks!

it's really thinner. I have an auth mono speedy and had the chance to view and touch the mono speedy a friend had ordered from jacky. thin canvas and the vachetta wasn't as even. but as long as you like it...

Thanks, ambidextrous! I suspected as much, but wasn't sure.

Since the bag is quite good visually speaking, I'm not too concerned about it. It's going to primarily serve as a shopping and/or beach tote and not an everyday kind of bag, so total perfection isn't a must.

I'm actually glad I found this out before ordering any others--I probably wouldn't be that happy with it if I'd ordered an "everyday" kind of bag.

Can anyone recommend sellers they know of that have more "true to form" mono LV's? Please PM me if you have suggestions. Thanks!

I'm sure she gives everyone different prices! I was told that shipping is free if you order over $250. If the order is less than $250 it is a flat-fee of $18. That was the fee quoted to Canada, but I'm sure her Canada/US shipping fees would be the same. HTH,

Does anyone have any tips on how to make leather on a bag smoother? I have been rubbing my 2896 with leather conditioner in the hope to smoothen the leather.

Joanne21: The canvas on the Neverfull is supposed to slouch so it'll feel different than the Alma. I have an auth Alma and it's very structured. The NFs aren't like this. So, the slouch is a good thing!

I've always received free shipping from Catty with 3 + bags. HTH!
