Do we have anywhere for bagswap anymore or not?

Wait wait... the bag's suede? Definitely do not use conditioner on suede
stylestar - i have seen several amethyst bags irl and some have been quite dark. LC from the hills has an amethyst and hers is also quite dark - far more purple than pink. i hope it grows on you.
that's why i stray from bold colors t&d produce. there's always someone who'se disappointed with the color of their bag and it's usually someone who's familiar with bal. i just wouldn't want to get a bag i'd never use, kwim?
Hmmmmmm ... i'd like to get a nice pic of the surface, maybe on the macro setting of your camera...
this sounds as if the metallic was applied after the leather was drummed, in which case, I wouldn't add any sort of conditioner to it..
i'll see what i can do and how my camera captures the pic. that said, i'm not touching it with conditioner until after you have a look. it's like brushed metallic suede in that you can sit there and rub and rub and peel and eventually the metallic will come off. there were old j.crew flats done like this called the marsala. the metallic isn't IN the leather (like derek lam bags, where i can stretch the fabric and never see cracks), but ON the leather if that makes sense.
stylestar - sorry you aren't happy with your bag. honestly, it will fade with use and eventually look like magenta or amethyst just as auth magenta/amethyst bags become faded versions of themselves so it isn't truly clear what color it originally was if you don't know certain bags were only produced in certain styles. the leather is glorious, i'm sure, so carry it with pride and no one will be the wiser.

even though the YSL easy definitely fulfills my need for a bling bag for vacationing, i am still wanting the sunset orange vernis alma. not sure why, as you can only travel with so many bags!
EDIT: oh, can luna or someone tell me whether i should condition the metallic easy? it's a crackle metallic like i said...i'm sort of afraid it will lift the metallic. should i protect it first/then condition or vice-versa?
Hi thesiren! I'm not trying to complain or being unhappy, I understand that with a rep, nothing is 100% and T&D's lovely leather more than made up for it. I agree with you that most people wouldn't know the slight color variations between T&D's bags and the auth. However, this time I was just really shocked that the color is so completely off and since no one else has mentioned it, I was starting to think maybe it was just me! so I was just trying to show the color differences with those pics.
here's my attempt at taking a pic of my own bag. Does this look similar to anyone elses's Amethyst?
