why are they going to do "summery" colors when summer is almost over and most certainly will be by the time they complete the bags?

i just hope there's a color i like enough to get a brief RH. i am so hellbent on dark bags and really need to change it up, but i'm reluctant to spend because other bags i've taken a chance on just sit there. oh well, that's why i buy reps!

even though the YSL easy definitely fulfills my need for a bling bag for vacationing, i am still wanting the sunset orange vernis alma. not sure why, as you can only travel with so many bags!

EDIT: oh, can luna or someone tell me whether i should condition the metallic easy? it's a crackle metallic like i said...i'm sort of afraid it will lift the metallic. should i protect it first/then condition or vice-versa?

i'm really impressed with this bag. i usually do one or two very large orders from jacky a year (bags for me, my mother and sister) and have had fabulous luck with all of his bags, but i'm reluctant to order all of the time for fear of getting a crappy bag. this bag is sort of pushing me to place another order atm because it's so good.

OMG they just told me they still have Argent Day RH, and I was still debating whether to grab it or not. Now I'm soo undecided. Should I get the Day RH or GSH Can somebody decide for me!!

i think GSH is stunning with argent. any of the very light/pale bags simply glow with GSH!

thesiren - totally NOT trying to be an enabler here, but you should see if Richard/Ligugu on ioffer has the sunset orange one! I have his rose pop pink vernis alma, and I LOVE IT. Seriously, look into it. Carry one on, and check one in your luggage. You can most def. have 2 blingin' vacation bags!
I'd looove some darker bags. A gorgey dark red or something of the sort.... I have all bright, cheery colors... hopefully i'll have some money saved up by the time they release new colors!

You can always get a RH bag in another colour some time later. GSH really goes very beautifully with Argent.

balbear!!! when did you order the GSH DAY???? i asked them a week ago and they said they had no GSH styles available.......wait sorry i just missed that they were doing another run, does that mean you have to wait a bit for them to produce them? ahhh they just shipped out my RH Argent PT... shoulda waited for GSH...

I just got my Amethyst PT. I actually think the color is WAY too dark compared to the auth. The auth IRL is very bright and almost neon like. The one I am looking at is so dark it's more like a deep fushia. I know there are color variations among the Amethyst but the ones I have seen in real life are all much lighter/brighter than this. I don't know why I'm the only one saying this because it is very obvious that it is way too dark, have you all seen the authentics in real life or are you just comparing pictures online?

That said, however, I actually do like the color and it's my first part time bag so I'm still very excited over it. I kinda do wish that I ordered it in a city so that I can pass it as one of the magentas.

oh and regarding the leather, it is not similar to Vert Deau at all. It is like their other veiny shiney leather, but much thicker.

I agree!!!! They need to offer colors one season ahead of time to carry them!!

danger - your PT amethyst is AMAZING! my favorite so far. i love GGH/SGH, but RH/tassels are so gorgeous! that bag is crazy gorgeous.

my gold YSL easy arrived today. i love it! i'm not sure what color it's supposed to be though - bronzo or sahara gold, but maybe you guys can help me out with that when i post pics. i have to get batteries for my camera, but i'll do so soon. there really isn't a ton of info at tpf about the details of this bag, and i vaguely remember seeing it irl (but not taking in all of the gory details) so i can't get down to the nitty gritty. i can tell that the metallic is going to lift off, which happens with many metallic bags/shoes, so i don't think that's a result of faulty product. it's sort of like brushed suede if you're familiar with that, but a crackle effect. i'm not sure why this happens, but i've seen it happen with bags and flats of this material/texture (including my old lanvin flats...RIP!).

my bag doesn't pool when empty, but that's because the leather is likely thicker/most structured. it's a good and bad thing because when not full, it also doesn't drape as deliciously as the leather easy. i literally JUST received the bag, so i'll give a further assesment after careful examination.

I am DYING to see pics-jacky's looked bronzy with a hint of (please don't get mad for saying this) kinda pinkish-rosy, KWIM? Maybe it's just my eyes or my computer screen. I really love the pics on his site and wonder if it's the same IRL.

My two cents - since you have so much GH already I would go with the rh they have in stock. That way you'll be able to use it while we still have summer weather. I think the Argent GSH delivery will be toward the end of summer if they have not yet started them. I would be tempted to get the rh myself.

luna - probably just whatever i find. my apple conditioner is at home and i'm on the road right now...do you think just anything will be safe? it's not brushed suede, but i compared it to that because you know how brushed suede lifts with abrasion/friction? i can tell this is going to do the same. it's a crackled patent. should i protect if first or after conditioning? wait until after i post pics because i know you'll be able to see what i'm talking about once that happens...i'm trying to think of an auth bag to compare the material to...

chelsea2901 - i think it's bronze because of other bags i've looked at online and the material seems the closest to it (the sahara gold isn't as crackled). definitely no rosy hue irl, but you can judge once you see the pics.

stylestar - i have seen several amethyst bags irl and some have been quite dark. LC from the hills has an amethyst and hers is also quite dark - far more purple than pink. i hope it grows on you.

that's why i stray from bold colors t&d produce. there's always someone who'se disappointed with the color of their bag and it's usually someone who's familiar with bal. i just wouldn't want to get a bag i'd never use, kwim?

I agree, all the amethyst bags I've seen IRL have been a bit darker...not "neon" at all.
