babybluestar i read far back that you have both Jacky and Catty's Mahinas and you say that Jacky's gris is much better, if im not mistaken ? Do you think Jacky's gris will pass inspection inside LV store or with someone who has an auth Mahina? (not looking at the serial number etc, of course).. Thanks for the advice

catty answered my mail, I said I was interested in the blue and pink wilshire and she send me closeup pictures of those 2 colors from different angles and the zippers etc (if you're interested let me know), I've added some pics of the blue, as you see the bottom and the sides are correct because they have to be plain, the side is a bit bobbly but that can be fixed

the bag looks good to me, I only don't know about the sides, I can't find a picture to compare it with

also, she forgot to tell me the measurements even though I specifically asked it, can another lovely girl ask her this maybe? I feel like I'm stalking catty almost I would love this bag, I think it will be my favourite this year

I didn't realize this was a Marc Jacobs! Just last week I saw the handbag version of this bag at my supplier's shop. I figured it was a popular bag because they had it in about 10 different colors. I considered buying a few pieces for my website but I didn't know which brand it was inspired by! Does anyone know the name of the handbag version of this bag? And is it popular among celebrities?

They're actually a wholesaler that has a shop in NYC.They only sell brand-less (no designer stamped on bag) designer inspired handbags. It's like AAA grade - not mirror image. The quality is good, though. Mostly for women that want the look but not the name. If you'd still like they're info (address and phone # - not sure if they have an email), I can send it to you. But I think they only sell in wholesale quanities. I use them as my wholesale supplier for my accessories website.

valkyrie - yeah, the pink/purple is definitely a winner. The supplier has them in a bunch more colors. They're irresistible. I would definitely buy them in pink/purple but I haven't heard much of a buzz about them so I don't know how well they would sell. But they are cute. I'll do some research to see who's wearing them in Hollywood.

fashiongirl87 , I agree! That Marc Jacobs Big Heart bag is VERY Luella-esque. I think that's why I'm so attracted to the design. LOL and I, too, thought that it was some kind of limited-edition Marc Jacobs Valentines bag!

Even if he says no, keep an eye on his site because he's said he no longer carries bags but then a month later they re-appear on his website! Hope you can find one! It's my all time favorite bag! Absolutely stunning and gets even better when treated with Apple Leather Care!

Yep, I carried jacky's gris mahina into TWO lv's... I'm so proud of myself. My heart was racing the whole time. and I got complimented on my gris by a lady that was carrying an auth black one. And one of the times in the LV store the sa complimented my bag saying how lucky I was to have gotten that color
It's not 'absolutely perfect" but it's pretty darn close. The only problem with a mahina is that it is a wee bit heavy, but otherwise if it's your style, go for it. and I got my SIL jacky's black one that she loves loves. I think the black one you would get away with even better, but that's usually the case for all reps. black is always better.

For anyone who has a Chanel bag (or any type of brand) that has straps that are just a chain (not a woven chain)....
do you find it annoying to carry??

catty's purple flap is fine when there isn't much in it, but I can't carry it messenger style or the single chain without it digging into my shoulder, but it's fine when it is doubled up. but I am not planning on buying anymore chain straps anytime soon. Catty's bubble quilt flap is awesome though, it has the chains but a strip of leather for the shoulder part, so it's comfortable and the bubble quilt is super lightweight, I am totally loving this bag even though it looks awkward in photos and such, it looks really good filled up with all my stuff and on my shoulder. squishy pillow
