Jeans Tucked Into Boots

Well, I find math strangely enjoyable so if I need to resort to the formulas for circumference and diameter that's not really a problem xD

I expected that I would wear skinny jeans or skinny boot cut jeans with them. I've also considered getting a pair of jeggings if I could make them work. I hadn't thought of wearing cropped jeans though, that's a good idea.

I just feel like any boots I get end up being moderately tight on my calves. So this time, I want to work around that so I can wear them how I intended.

Hated this look for a long while until I finally eased off of it. Certain boots are so fabulous to wear over jeans, pants, tights, or with bare legs that I've praised the look. Wearing boots over jeans is (admit it) a real attention-grabber. That's even if you're showcasing a simple pair of sheepskin boots. I seem to commonly see furry wedge boots as the most common boots worn over jeans. Some even with pom pom details. I think riding boots look lovely with jeans. I also praise knee-high boots with harness detail. Never seemed to hate the harness look.

Only two kinds of boots I dislike with the jeans-into-boots look are Converse-like boots and any above the knee boots. Otherwise, rock your jeans-in-boots style!

For me the change to jeans would not make such a big difference.

Washington, DC are both about equally fashion forward. Both jave this look in full bloom. LOL...

I see all these 40 something surburban soccar moms all of a sudden wearing jeans tucked in. They look like they would never wear skinny jeans, but since they are tucked in jeans they buy them for the look, but once it warms up next spring won't wear them with ballet flats. And they tuck then in like these mid calf length boots that were bought some years ago to wear under boot cut ones. Jeebus DC is such a fashion wasteland...

I did not mean to sound like I was making fun of these women. I realise they have kids to also support and may not afford to buy stuff because it is a trend- although this woman was in a Lexus SUV- the big $70,000 one and I am sure she has nice ones for work. It is just that here in DC they go to no trouble to be trendy and you can tell which comes across as a slap in the face of the "fashionistas" that really do try. I mean in this area it is full of families from El Salvadore and lots of parents are maids and roofers, but at least they try to do it right. Their clothes may have come from K-Mart instead of Macy's- but they do try and they get my respect for that.

Come to think of it they were not skinny jeans because they bloused out they were like boot cut or wider leg mom jeans because from the waist down she looked like Santa clause in his baggy red pants and boots.

I remember like in 2009 3 years ago I saw 1 woman in her 20s with skinny jeans and tall like Frye sort of riding boots, but not too equestrian looking and that was only one that year except if they were in Uggs. Other women were wearing boot cut jeans over boots.

I love skinny jeans in boots, but I hate it when it bulges out. Oh and I don't care if it's not trendy atm, I wear what I like.

"Wear what you like" should be how all fashion is. Unfortunately, some feel the desire to fit in by going with trends. It took me a while for sure to finally accept this look. The only dislike to this look for me is with any boots above the knees.

I saw one young femme go with these cuffed booties with skinny or slim jeans. The booties were cute, and wearing these over the jeans was a nice combination. I somewhat think the jeans-in-boots look is better suited for taller boots (below the knees) than anything ankle-length or mid-calf.

Remember that I hated this look for the longest. So to say this is a classic look as opposed to a trend was something I'd truly resent in a heartbeat. The look is still one I've slowly grown to like even while most others have long loved the look. In fact, I actually find jeans-into-boots to be attention-grabbing today, especially if wearing a fabulous pair of boots (meaning... anything besides sheepskin boots) over jeans. A sweet pair of attention-grabbing boots worn over jeans can be just as hot as wearing a hot pair of jeans. So take it from me- wear boots over jeans pridefully, whether functionally or to just look good/great/hot/cute/sexy/etc.!
